Friday,...Really?

I don't know, it just feels very un-apple to do the Imac update on a Friday, with no announcement.

Perhaps the store is down for lunch?

After all, it is between 12 and 1 in Cupertino, and the server must be getting fairly hungry with people refreshing all the time lol

It's obviouslly an update! It makes sense to not take away from earnings and so Apple can say that they played nice in the sandbox and still moved "X" amount of mac in the first quarter of the fiscal year!

Steve must have been the only one who knew about the update!

The store being down now is maintenance. I don;t think Apple has ever released products this late without an event before it.

I partly agree with you, but, they very seldom do updates during the middle of the day. They are usually either late at night or first thing in the morning. But it's probably just a glitch of some kind

going on 1 hr. 15 minutes of the store being down now.

If it's not an update, it's simply KILLING Apple's business right now..How much money do you think they make during an hour time period from the store?

I know, and so was Leopard and Snow Leopard..But it's still odd for the store to just be down..But it's also odd for them to be doing maintenance during the afternoon..

Let's hope!

Those were pre announced products. Do not get your hopes up, nothing is coming.

I'm actually curious as to where aperture 3 is though.

Cool everyone is online. All waiting together. Reminds me of when I was waiting at the gates of hyborian for Age of Conan

i know...seems VERY odd.

They are more than capable of doing something 'different' as far as marketing goes, particular when Win 7 is just around the corner...launching a load of new products, and the taking the anti-microsoft line, such as "we don't have to make a big deal about our product launches like Microsoft do"

just a far flung idea

it's starting to seem like it's down for a little TOO long now :)

Maybe something really is wrong with the servers or maybe there is a keynote that NOBODY was invited to.
