did they ask for the account holder details when they activated the nano sim? because my mum is the account holder and will be at work tomorrow and it'll suck to have to wait 'til she gets home! D:

Yep, mobile no. and SIM no. Usually, its just an automated process but I had to be put through to a representative as they 'were having problems'. It was very quick though and I was put through automatically.

How long did the swap take?

Within about 30mins after calling them. Pop in the nano SIM and wait for text messages, read, delete, then reboot your phone.

what security questions did they ask because last time i rang up couldnt remember mine
 
Nano sim arrived, called Orange (again, had to be transferred to a CS rep) and I now have it in my old Nokia brick courtesy of an adapter from Three :)

Let's hope it doesn't take too long to swap over!
 
My nano sim hasn't arrived yet -ordered on Tuesday midday. The lady. I spoke to said it would arrive between 18.30-22.30 and that if I missed the delivery I would have to pay for a redelivery. Did anyone else get told this? I'm assuming it's not the case as everyone else's are arriving royal mail..

It was sent with TNT post 'S class' (but delivered by Royal Mail with the rest of the post)
 
Okay *I think* mine has come.

Its arrived at my parents house and Im at work. Trying to get my non technical mother to describe it over the phone is not easy. She did say however that it doesnt say nano sim anywhere on it but that it is really small (although that could mean anything with her!)

Can someone upload a pic to help me out?
 
If you received it today, then I'm sure it'll be a nano. There's no mention of it being a nano SIM anywhere on the card or packaging btw.

Well that was really easy. Just had the text through telling me to turn my phone off and on again. All switched to the nano sim.

Just delivery to go :)
 
I ordered mine 08:45 Wednesday morning so I'm hoping I get it tomorrow morning in time for my iPhone arriving!

About 45 minutes. Completely painless! I phoned up and although the automated system didn't work, it puts you through to CS straight away who did it with no problems at all.
 
Automated system did not work for me, CSR told me I needed to leave the phone switched off for 24 hours :eek:

Left it 15 mins with old SIM, wanged it into flight mode... "emergency calls only" .... Nice!

Swapped sims, ....two text messages ... Jobs a goodun.

Apart from I don't have an adapter so the sim is just held in to the temporary phone by friction. LOL... So far all ok.
