I think all this talk of apple moving to "local" warehouses around the UK isn't true.

It's up to the couriers to handle that - Apple will just provide them to them to handle in their own internal logistics, but we'll get a dispatch email when that happens.

Have you had any money taken? I've ordered the same watch at 8.03. Nothing moved at all since the email and £1 authorisation at 08.04 from Amex.
