Still absolutely no charge on my Santander account, despite the order having moved to Preparing for Dispatch a couple of hours back.

Last week, I attempted to pay just under a grand for something online with the same card. Payment was reused. I tried again and it was again refused. I ended up paying with an alternate card. I was phoned up by Santander's automated fraud service few minutes later asking me to confirm recent activity. That hasn't happened either.

Will be thoroughly irritated if, after moaning about Apple, it ends up being my building society that delays my order.

Santander have done this to me numerous times. Blocked legitimate payments I've been trying to make, then you get the call right after from the fraud team and it's infuriating.

But, my card details actually got stolen with my Santander credit card last month and I've never been so thankful that they are so annoying lol.

If the payment had been blocked you'd have been called by now. If it's preparing for dispatch I wouldn't worry.

hmm, get rich quick scheme needed?

SG ordered at 8:04 - Still processing

Honestly, I refuse to get wound up over this.

Just enjoy the ride - We didn't have to get up in the middle of the night to order, it wasn't a big effort!!!!

I would hazard that there are very few people that actually need this thing in the transformational way that some of these responses are warranting.

Anyway, I'm going to do my best not to cringe, then next time I read something like

Worst launch ever

If you have the watch coming to you.. then I'm happy for you.

I can't wait to get mine (figuratively of course ;) )

Felt compelled to make an account after following this thread the last few days.

For whatever it is worth, and no Im not gloating, my 42mm Milanese Loop was charged to my Barclays account about two hours ago, and is now preparing for dispatch.

I dont think order confirmation times have any bearing on the order things ship in, but for those curious I received my comfirmation at 8.05am. I also called Apple to update my billing information yesterday, so that doesnt seem to have adversely affected the logistics of anything either...though maybe I've just jinxed it.

Hope that helps. All will be fine everyone :)

Hi guys

I noticed my available funds drop for the price of apple watch yesterday, Same today but my watch is still stuck at processing, Has anybody here had the same circumstances change to preparing to dispatch ?

thanks in advance

Look, whatever happens with our orders, we've still got each other, this thread, Gavin, Francis, jrobert and a spicy pork salad.

No other thread has those. Think yourselves lucky.

Some would have you believe that would mean your watch is in the UK rather than China.

Nobody knows for sure though!

But will they tap me on the wrist every time I get a notification? Will they?!?! :p

I hate it when banks do this, they decide your spending patten. Irritating.

08:03:54 order, 42mm Space Grey Sport. No bank charge, still processing.

Yes I am a bit sad. No this does not make me think Apple have ruined this pre-order process and I'm going to be "livid" or calling Apple Support. They gave me an ETA when I ordered and that's all I can expect.

Resigned to my fate!

Also, I know it's easy to get really obsessed/infuriated by this stuff, especially when you've been really looking forward to it and have it sat in your mind that it's something you'll be getting on Friday, but at the end of the day, step back for a minute and think.

Even if it's great, even if it's incredibly useful and beautiful and magical and fun, it is still just a piece of technology/jewellery. If you pre-ordered on the Friday you'll still be getting one way before the vast vast vast majority of people even touch one, and it won't be any less awesome then.

It's a really nice day. Stop refreshing order status/online banking, which obviously won't change anything/speed things up, and go for a walk.

And no, my order (SS BSB - 8:06) is still stuck on processing, and there's not a AW-sized hole in my bank balance yet ;).

Not enough SG Sports allocated for the UK then. Again another example of Apple's failure with this launch. a trained monkey could inform that SG 42mm would be the most popular model.

This really has been a terrible buying experience.

That's just one of the most absurd things I've read on this thread. How do we know that model was going to be the most popular?!

Just because you're not getting it on launch day, does not make it a failure. If no-one had got a watch on Launch Day, then yes, it would be. You're just throwing your toys out of the pram because you might not get yours on the first day of the 2 week window, which you agreed to when you did the pre-order. Grow up. Disappointed is fair, but acting like a petulant child is a sign that you need to take a break from all this....

My HSBC does not show the charge yet, but the available balance dropped yesterday afternoon. (Now preparing for shipment). Not sure how to see it on Santander, but if you can see what your available balance is, you might see it has dropped accordingly, or if you can see pending charges.

Ive just gone absolutely ape **** at one of the online apple chat guys and really layed into them hard about this preorder shambles. Guy had the audacity to tell me to calm down and that they are trying their best. WELL YOUR BEST ISNT GOOD ENOUGH IS IT!!!!!!!1!!!!

goddamn idiots!!!!!!!!! Im going into the Apple store tomorrow to give them a piece of my ****ing mind!!!!

In fact my local apple store is open until 10pm tonight. Im going to go down there now and kick off at the staff, BIGTIME!!!1!!

I also bank with HSBC. The price of my :apple: Watch was deducted from my available funds yesterday afternoon, and this morning my Watch's status changed to "Preparing for Dispatch". I presume that funds will transfer indefinitely once the Watch's status changes to "Dispatched".

Ordered 2 watches as soon as pre-orders opened one for me, and one for the mrs

The one for the mrs has debited from my CC and status has moved to preparing for dispatch - mine is still sat at processing and no charge to my CC

I only got one for the mrs to keep her from giving me grief for ordering one for myself - looks like she will get hers first

Oh **** my title has changed to 'macrumors regular'.

I'd like to thank Jesus, Tim Cook, and everyone who's made this thread jump between utter despair, insanity and hilarity over the past few days.

We're getting close now. Let's do this!
