i NEED this watch to arrive Friday or I really am going to start heads rolling BIG TIME.

Im on my way to the apple store armed with my iPhone video camera. Ill post my results later on youtube for ALL to see and i WILL coMe out with a watch.

THEY WILL SEE WHAT THIS PREORDER HAS DONE!!!

Ok you're definitely trolling. That's about as bad as doing what you're actually proposing to do, so you're just failing all round really.
 
I also bank with HSBC. The price of my :apple: Watch was deducted from my available funds yesterday afternoon, and this morning my Watch's status changed to "Preparing for Dispatch". I presume that funds will transfer indefinitely once the Watch's status changes to "Dispatched".


To be honest, HSBC always takes a couple days for my charges to show, my Amazon stuff, for example, affects my available balance immediately, but I don't see it on mini statement until 2 working days later.

This whole thread is ridiculous (but funny).

Seriously...... what have Apple done wrong?

  • They have launched a great product that you guys obviously want to buy
  • They have allowed you to pre-order and given an accurate delivery window - and have NEVER promised a delivery on Friday
  • They have not charged debit/credit cards until the item is available for dispatch
  • They have allocated ALL stock to fulfil online orders, and not sent some off to Stores for people to just walk in and purchase
  • They have not told a single person that their watch will be delivered late or not at all
  • There is nothing to say that those who have not yet had their cards charges/order status changed that they will not get their watches on Friday - for everyone with a 24/4 - 8/5 delivery window this is now more about delivery logistics than it is stock availability

The fact that the watches sold out cannot be levelled as a criticism at Apple. Demand has outstripped supply - which was always going to be the case but that doesn't mean they could have done anything about it other than delay the release even more, or go down a US only release to start (imagine the fallout then!!!).

The only criticism that maybe could be labeled is the inconsistent way in which the online support guys are responding to queries....... but given they likely have no additional info to what we can all see ourselves online, I sense they are just trying to pacify people - but with some customers having the opposite effect.

I've been waiting for my Watch since the very day it was announced in September (even before then!). Now I have to wait even longer as I've ordered the SS Space Black (12 - 26 May) - but I am no worse off than anyone else who ordered that model, and am far better off than the people who ordered a few minutes after me and won't get their's until June/July.

Get on with your life, and Apple will update you when your order is ready.. it's as simple as that :)
 
I think the only god in charge of my missing SG 42mm Sport is Cthulhu.

I think he's nicked it as the interface is super easy to use with tentacles.
 
Said can't give me any other information other than it'll be delivered on or before 8th May.

Really miffed as got order confirmation at 8:02 for a 42mm Blue Sports watch and finding it unbelievable that no stock has been allocated despite ordering within a minute. Oh well.

Not to worry anyone, but this is the very same model that apple have secured stock of for developers, with guaranteed April 28th delivery...
