Got my order in just as the store came back up. Went for the 42mm SS with Milanese Loop. The same 24-8 shipping as everyone else.

I tried on the 42mm sport and steel links and both fine. Tried on the 38mm and it was too small for me. The band barely closed on it too and I am not a particular big guy. Happy with the 42mm

I rescheduled my try on appointment until tomorrow as the OH wants to come with me to see what all the fuss is about (he's an android guy).

I'm getting really excited about the watch now. Once I see the other bands tomorrow I will pre-order another band.

Was going to wait for Gen 2.... then was going to get the Sport Space Grey to tide me over till Gen 2.... had it in my basket at 8:02 then bailed out.

Have now decided on the SS with black sports strap. Think it's a good compromise until Gen 2 when I'll probably go for a link strap or something....

Considering I just ordered it at 15:45, I'm happy with the 4-6 week dispatch. Thought it would be June by now.

Anyone got an estimate of when orders will start moving and we can get a solid delivery date? I got my order in at 0801 and have a delivery estimate of 24/4-08/05.

Just got back from my try on appointment at the Newcastle store. Spot on in there. Let me try on 7 different watches and really pleased.
Managed to pre order my ss with black sports band at 8.03 so it's looking positive for a 24th delivery. Really pleased with my choice of the stainless steel as I was very 50/50 last night.

I like the sports strap and liked the look of the Milanese strap but didn't like it on. The opposite can be said of the leather loop. It doesnt look amazing soft leather but it fits fantastically and looks brilliant so that will be the first purchase accessory.

Got to have a play with the watch and its a lovely piece of kit. Very fluid and once used to it can really see me taking to it.
I went for the 42mm version and pleased I did but must say the 38mm looks good too. Would have been happy with either.

Got my confirmation email at 8.03 for space grey sports model with delivery on 24/4 - 8/5. Who thinks we will get on the actual launch day?

As a female I was concerned how large the 42mm would be but tried on both and think both work well. I think the 42mm in sport as its lighter and the 38mm in SS as a more dressy watch. Have ordered both and see which I prefer to keep, or heaven forbid keep them both, similar hard decision trying to choose between the iPhone's last year. 42mm May delivery but the SS 24/4 to 8/5.

I got my order in at 8:01 for the SS Link 42mm and still had a 4 to 6 week delivery window, the confirmation email came through at 8:02am. I think they didn't have enough stock of the stainless link bracelet to start off with, they just haven't made enough yet. According to there own blurb each one takes about 9 hours to manufacturer, hence the long lead times leaked to the press for these models before the online store opened.

Pre-order Thread for UK (BST)

I ordered by 8:03. Really miffed at 4/6 weeks (black sports).

That's weird. I couldn't get on until about 8:06 and Sport SG black is still in the first batch. Confirmation at 08:08.

Edit - nope - checked my email it was 08:04 the confirmation came through so I guess you just missed it by a hair.

I was thinking about making an appointment, I live in Norwich and there were several spaces yesterday when I looked but then I thought I'd better leave it.

If I try one on, it'll make me what mine even more and I am very inpatient!!

I was worried that the blue band would like bad, but my friend had a quick look around the Apple Store and it looked great in the display cases. Am going today in Selfridges, London, and will also try black, white, Milanese loop and classic buckle

Sounds good. Let us know how you get on? Especially the sport band as that's what I have chosen.

I had a 38 SS pre-ordered but after trying on a 42 this morning I have cancelled my 38 and pre-ordered a 42.
Looking at June but glad I didn't get the 38, I've no doubts that the 38 is geared towards females.

Pre-ordered the Space Black 42mm model (12may date), went to try on appt. in MK. They only had 38mm SS with a link bracelet so tried that on my 19cm wrists and it just fitted - I was worried the 42mm might be tight, so that was a relief. The 38mm looked very small on my arm. Tried a leather one too as that was a 42mm model, preferred the link bracelet.

My son was with me and they let him try on a couple which he found fun.

Also ordered a black sports band and extra charging cable for the office.

Great, thanks.
Just got back, very interesting. They only had White in Sports to try on, and unfortunately I could not get a picture. About the band; it was very comfortable, and did not feel like cheap rubber. It was secure, light, and almost premium like. For some reason, the employee did not let me mix and match, so no aluminium with Milanese Loop. I used the SS models though. First off, the Milanese Loop is very nice, and my favourite, it feels like a fabric mesh, you cannot feel the little loops or anything, it feels like a metal band on the inside. It is metal, so don't expect it to be leather like. Next was the Classic Buckle, it was very nice, simple and also comfortable, quite easy to put on. Finally, the leather loop, I tried it in the 42mm, as they did not have my size, the 38mm. It was comfortable, but you could feel the little bumps, I got used to them though. I did get to use haptic feedback, and that was very nice, I have it on
my Kindle though, so I was used to it. Got some photos, sorry for quality. Also got a picture of the Blue and White in display case. Any questions?

That's great thanks. Just one question. The differences from the 38mm to the 42mm. In person, what is the 38mm like? I have VERY small wrists so 42mm was a no for me.
