That was the difference that made me order the silver sport with blue strap. I saw a picture of the black and silver together and decided to get the black band in a few months, rather than going for the sg sport.
I got the dreaded email.
Still on processing.
Why can't they just be upfront and say it's unlikely you will receive on launch day but we will get it to you asap. That's what the email is for reading between the lines.

I'm on order processing for a 42mm Space Grey too and I've just ad the email 
I'm not jumping up and down like some, but i'd have a lot more respect for Apple at the moment if they'd simply admit that they've handled this launch poorly and that they've seemingly badly misjudged demand for certain variations of the watch.
It would have been far more sensible to separate the watch faces and straps into separate units and then you could have chosen to suit and made packaging/dispatch much easier too.

They were being upfront the whole time. They gave you a window, it was you that jumped to the conclusion of a Friday delivery.
My 38 SG is still processing although I got an email 8:04 and others have stated a later time with the same watch and they are preparing to dispatch - so not sure about the FIFO system!!!
Also got the email of death. Strange decision to send it. I've been saying would prefer some communication to tell me that they have completed everything they can for Friday and wait until next week but this email doesn't really do this - it still suggests a sliver of hope.

Essentially: "Yeah, I know you're waiting, but remember that 24/4-8-5 delivery window we told you about? Yeah? **** you."
On a side note, saw the 42mm SS with classic buckle again today. Really looks great.
The one I've hopefully got coming Friday. Love it.
I think this email is meant to serve as 'stop annoying our online chat people and wait until we tell you your watch is coming'

Apple: stop sending out stupid emails telling me nothing new and get making my watch which according to the 3 adverts I saw today is 'coming...24:4:15'
