Ordering online gives me an estimated date, that will be formed up when it ships. With queuing up, if you missed out on launch day, people could be waiting at least a month or more to get one. With Pre-ordering, I always get mine quicker than that.

Also, with the configuration options, you would have had the same issues in your local store. They might not have had the model/band configuration you wanted at launch, by the time they got to you. Then you would to wait for stock. There's no difference and you'd be a fool to think otherwise.

Apple got this one wrong folks. I've lost immediate enthusiasm for this product but will probably get to enjoy it one day. Don't think I'll ever preorder online again after this, at least I have some level of control by waiting in line.

With Apple Watch? No. Tell to the people who scream down the phone at you after being made to wait 2-4 weeks for a reserved 6 64GB in Space Grey, not fun! :rolleyes: You could get a reservation for a try on 15 minute appointment but not to buy. I just bought blindly, the good little :apple: sheep I am! :p
