I had a try on appt at cribbs causeway today. Very impressed but a little small even for 42mm. I preordered when I got home for June delivery, no rush it's a birthday present for the end of June.
One interesting tidbit I asked about - Apple pay - hsbc are apparently digging their heels in about it and stopping the UK launch because they don't want apple "owning" the mobile payments market. Don't know how reliable that is, haven't heard it elsewhere.

Who was this from?

Really frustrated we haven't got it over here yet. We're much more advanced than the U.S. Is with contactless terminals and being able to use the watch for Apple Pay would blow non believers' minds.

The U.S. Has a need to find a securer way to pay. Unlike Europe chip and pin are not used instead a signature, which no one checks, is enough to spend heaps of money. Guess that's why new tech such as Apple pay are easier to introduce as the U.S. Public wouldn't be as suspicious as the British may be... :)

I always thought it'd be Lloyds to hold things up.

Just out of interest, I have a 205mm wrist, and the Southampton store didn't have a single 42mm link bracelet to try. The 38mm was ok, but tight.

The 42mm that I have ordered is 10mm bigger, so should be perfect - did you need to remove any links, if so, how many. If not, did you have a good degree of space ??

I didn't quite get the fit perfect as I had begun to walk away from the appointment before going back and asking to try it quickly as I'd forgotten all about it. From memory, I had to remove about four links to get it roughly right, but I like my watches quite tight fitting and it still had some movement up and down my wrist.

You should be fine I think, Apple's sizing guidelines appear to be fairly lenient.

Just had a quick nosey in the Trafford Centre store. Damn they sure are smaller in the flesh. I bet a lot of male 38mm buyers who have not seen them first are going to regret not going for the bigger size.

I was in the Trafford store on Monday night and thought exactly the same thing. I was with my wife and she commented that the 38mm watches are definitely intended for females.

Anyone had any movement on their UK orders that are due between 24/4 - 8/5?

Available balances reduced or CC charges? Surely if Apple are looking to deliver (at least a few) by Friday some status's should move to preparing for despatch today?

If coming direct from China I would expect something tonight and/or tomorrow morning.

If coming from a distribution centre in the UK then Wednesday.

I ordered  Watch Sport Green band at 8:02am, currently still delivers between 24/4-8/5. No money taken from my bank yet either.

I also think we won't see anything change until Wednesday.

Ordered at 8:02am, nothing charged from my card...all quiet on the western front!!

I would imagine that Wednesday evening will be the time when things start to move forward however that really is a complete guess! :)

Most likely tomorrow onwards is when we will see movement. Although I ordered mine at 8.14(Sport 38mm White strap) and got the 24/4-8/5 shipment so perhaps mine might take longer than you guys with 8.01 confirmations. Hopefully though the 2
Week window is overly cautious by Apple and it will be here Friday!!

The timestamp on my confirmation email is 0855, but I'm in the 24/4 block. I don't think mine will ship by Friday, but I would be delighted if it does!

My email came through at 08.24 so I'm not expecting to get mine on launch day but I'm in the 24/4-8/5 group so I'm still hoping.

My confirmation email is 8:01 which I was shocked at. Haven't seen any other users report that time in UK. Still no updates for me.

Mine is 8:01am for first watch and 8:02am for second watch. Seriously hoping for Friday delivery.

Can no longer edit order address but still processing

Dave

Yes!! Half an hour ago I had the option to edit my shipping and billing addresses and now it is now longer there - still says processing but the address thing has definitely changed! My order was confirmed at 8.08am.:)

No, ignore the above. It seems that if I look at order status it just shows my name beside Delivers to and Bills to, but the link to edit the address is still at the top of the page and I can still alter them. Sorry guys!

If everyone would click on 'View/Edit Order Details' you would be able to edit all you want ;)

My billing is not editable but the shipping is. I had not tried to change them previously so I cannot tell if this is movement.
