I feel like that's changed since the last time I read what's in the box, but that's ace! #

What we can say for certain is that the UK Watches will be packaged with a charger that is UK specific, meaning any stock produced for the UK will not be distributed elsewhere. With that said, we still don't know what sort of stock they produced in advance for the UK.

It's likely it would have all been based on population ratios and previous product popularity along with data like who favourited what that set any initial production volume prior to pre-orders. So that more or less puts us in the same boat as everyone else.

It doesn't. Lol.

I don't know why people on here are adamant that Apple are going to purposefully hold back anyone's order. It's in their best interests to get all the stock they can make out to the customers as quickly as possible.

Just for pure guessing sake (and a bit of boredom) imagine 2 million people did pre-order. Imagine 500,000 of them were in the first 3 minutes.

The population of the U.S. is 300 million, in Europe it's 700 million, in the UK it's 60 million.

Based on a rough ratio, that would mean so where between 10% and 20% of the 500k pre-orders are in the UK!

Now, speaking from a business point of view, wouldn't it be wiser to make sure those 50,000 UK packages separately (probably in a few days or so) and then move on to another batch?

Hong Kong uses UK charger as well.

Very true, I stand corrected on that point! Additionally I attach a link with a full list of nations that use the same Type G plug. In my ignorance I wasn't aware of this.

I feel however that a separate supply will have been allocated for launch for each location. Of course Apple could shift stock later unless they are genuinely shipping worldwide from one central hub which does seem entirely possible as an option. Either way it's a moot point as an estimate of demand will have been incorporated into their production volumes so we're still more or less all in the same boat I guess.

You may have misunderstood my point... All I was suggesting (as a complete layman) is that Apple will have predicted volumes to ensure enough availability in each market within the confines of what they can produce.

I didn't in any way suggest they would 'hold back' any volume. It goes without saying though that they can't ship a Type G plug to a non Type G plug market and so on. This applies to guides in certain languages also.

So assuming the produced volumes were packaged prior to pre-orders it's totally plausible that some launch countries could be left with excess stock in a theoretical situation. Of course we know they won't be, but as a thought experiment, that plays out on the basis everything was packed prior.

Looks like the charging cable length has been updated with a 2m cable - last time I checked I remember it being the 1m cable?

Happy days if that is the case!

Interestingly I had several missed calls from Apple today and eventually a message asking me to call them back to discuss my order.

I had ordered two watches (his & hers) both firmly in the 12 May, 2015 - 26 May, 2015 delivery window; the message left on the account was that one of the watches (32mm Blue Sport) was now available for 24 April, 2015 - 8 May, 2015 delivery and would I be happy to receive it earlier. (Well Yes, Yes I would!).

I can't see the change reflected in the Order Status page yet, but fingers crossed Friday!

... And my phone goes into Loud mode!

I wouldn't sweat it, might not ship until Wednesday or even Thursday.

Agreed. Given the front page news, I think it is now very likely our UK orders will ship from a UK distribution centre, probably not changing to "Preparing for dispatch" until Wednesday and then showing "Dispatched" on Thursday for delivery on Friday.

I ordered at 8.02 but not that confident that it will come on Friday. I am expecting it sometime within the 2 week period.
