I think I've discovered why I don't seem to be getting notifications - it doesn't show them when you're "actively using your phone" - and as I've spent most of the day on conference calls it appears I'm "actively using my phone" - which is a sensible battery saving device, as you don't need notifications if you're on your phone.

Agree re screen - it's awesome.
 
Just to let other people who were potentially interested. All appointments are gone till Monday at which point you have to go into store and arrange one.
 
Just got mine , but I'm stucked at work till 7pm :-(

UKMail just delivered my watches an hour before the their delivery window opened. I was just walking up the road when the guy was looking for my flat. Almost missed delivery!!

Mine was out at the same time and only came about 50 minutes ago. It will come. UPS are taking their sweet time. UK mail seem better. They give you a slot and send you a text about 15 minutes before it arrives.
 
Anyone received Whatsapp notifications on the AW? How do they look? ( I know there isn't currently an app available but understand ALL notifications will still come through?)
 
My one criticism so far... you do have to be pretty obvious about raising your wrist for the screen to come on. It seems to rely on a twisting motion of the wrist rather than the 'raising' itself. Good news is, it works if you are standing or sitting, it even works if you are typing and glance over at it. But there are some positions where it doesn't - like just now I was leaning on the window sill, propping myself up with my arms and looked down at my watch and wriggled my wrist but couldn't get the face to come on at all.

Try it - stand in front of something waist-height, lean/bend forward and place your palms on the surface, now try and look at your watch by twisting your arm towards your face - bet you can't make it come on!
 
Just 10 more minutes before my delivery window opens officially. I am staring at the CCTV from the from door and listening to the click clack of my Swatch wondering how long it will be before I can pop it off and swap it for my :apple:Watch Sport with white band.

UPS seem to have covered Brighton areas WELL before UKMAIL today!

UKMail depot is in Crawley I think, so they probably had to work their way down. Still over 2 hours before my delivery window opens!!
