Hi. Dover street was only doing bookings today but they allow you to queue and if someone doesnt turn up or they have a gap in appts then they let you in. I know this as that is what happened to me today and how it was explained by the apple guy they have on site.

Re the people rejoining the queue, I can't write what I want to about them. It would breach public decency laws.

Josh

Yeah, it was pretty annoying. Must thank you for mentioning the market as I wouldn't have gone if it wasn't for that!

Has anyone ordered the milanese loop separately? I am thinking of ordering it but ill be gone for vacations early june. I guess I want to ask you of you know about the availability. I ll probably order it after I get my sg 42 and if not cancel the order a week before i leave.

Why would it come from the States?

I know some things come direct from China, however I think that Apple just hand over the watches to UPS/DHL in China and give them a destination and UPS/DHL get them there? Sending them through the U.S may be a quicker way to do this for UPS/DHL as I imagine they may have planes that share cargo amongst a range of companies not just Apple. Plus being an american based company, sending it to their main distribution centres in the U.S (UPS's being Louisville - they have a daily flight from Louisville to East Midlands Airport that's only been running from April 10th, sounds familiar? ;) DHL's being Kentucky). It also means a plane can go out and take half a load of watches to the U.S and take the rest onto the UK while allowing them to fill the empty space on the plane with something else?

Just speculating, may be wrong however!

& yes it's East Midlands Airport :)

----------

DHL have its main UK facility at East Midlands airport. But UPS only have a small standing there.

DHL has it's main facility at East Midlands Airport itself, while UPS has its main facility for the UK at Tamworth, a short drive from East Midlands Airport and fly the majority of its freight to East Midlands Airport being the cheapest, closest airport to do so.

East Midlands Airport handles A LOT of freight, it's one of the main freight airports in the UK.

I ordered it. Ships in June. I don't mind waiting, plus my birthday is in June so it'll be a nice treat for myself :) it may ship earlier, but who knows?

Tamworth is closer to Birmingham airport so maybe that's an option for freight coming in too?

I looked into this but it's not used for freight, there's very little if any freight flights into Birmingham, so its not really an option. I think its down to Birmingham being a much bigger airport so slot costs are much higher as well as slot availability being much lower. With East Midlands Airport being almost as close, just a few miles further away, but being considerably cheaper due to being a smaller airport, it makes it a much more viable choice for freight companies! It's the airport to watch for flights :)

Ironically I live very close and used to live right next to it. Got my order in early so hoping its soon

Anyone got a SS with a leather loop yet?

Anyone got a SS with a leather loop yet? I got a preorder for a 42mm SS with a Black Leather Loop at 8:05am on the 10th but still "processing" -aarrgghh!

For anyone in London I was able to pick up a Space Grey watch at Dover St Market. I was pretty lucky - by the time it was my turn (after 40 minutes of queuing) the man serving me told me they only had the white sport watch and the white band stainless steel. Another employee serving another customer corrected him, explaining that a few had just arrived recently. I don't know how often they have their deliveries but if you're interested I'd recommend giving it a try.

The sad part is there quite a few people buying watches and then rejoining the queue to buy more to sell on. Kinda frustrating, but that's life.

What time was this? I was lined up there till 2:30 and it was out of stock when it got to my turn.

Hey, so what do UK Watches do when you double click the favourites/friends/whatever button? Does something substitute Apple Pay functionality?

Chaps not to get anyones hopes up but......

DHK969 - is due into Leipzig in 7hrs, this is the main hub DHL always pass through on route to EMA.

Probably a long shot but who knows! :D

I had ordered one last week, but it just says that'll it despatch in May. I think this has slipped to June if you ordered now.
So far I haven't had any movement.

Opinions - should I cancel my processing SG Sport order and try a SS in the hope it may arrive sooner?

I've got both on order. The SS order has a 2 week delivery from 12th MAY, so I still hope and expect for the SG sport to come first.

Since Monday is out it leaves basically only 9 working days to deliver the watch now to those in purgatory. So what dy does everybody think they will get their watch?

Tuesday 28th April
Wednesday 29 th April
Thursday 30 th April
Friday 1 May

Monday 4 May
Tuesday 5 May
Wednesday 6 May
Thursday 7 May
Friday 8 May

Me I am going for Wednesday 6 may

I really, really, really, really, really hope by at least Friday 1st May. Come on Apple, end our processing hell.

Very quiet in here now.

Just a bit of tumbleweed blowing through and a few tortured souls waiting for status updates on their SG BSBs.

And a few hardy souls like waiting on ss bsb as well. No movement on either watches in ages. 8:04 confirm time so hoping soon.

 Here's hoping!

I hope we all get our Apple Watch soon it would be amazing to get it before Wednesday or even on Wednesday... It could be Apple's birthday treat to me... even though I paid for it ;)

Ramin987... That name is familiar... did you used to YouTube videos many years ago? If so then I was a regular viewer of them

Right today Sunday would Apple be performing inventory movements today (I appreciate deliveries may not happen today) does anyone know... I guess only time will tell... :apple:

I'm praying and hoping for some movement or at least pending charge on the card on one of my orders tomorrow.
