You're dealing with multiple component manufacturers feeding into multiple assembly lines that may have been facing different constraints at different times.
Like, it was very noticeable that link bracelets were constrained to start with, because almost nobody has them yet. They seem to be catching up now, but it may be that we've just entered a phase where the watch bodies are constrained (see the stories about taptic engine production issues).
I think things are moving with the bands at least. My available balance on my CC has randomly dropped by about £40 and my delivery date for my Black Sports Band with Space Grey pin has changed from "29th April - 12th May" to "1st May - 13th May" which seems odd, but a few of the guys who got their link bands sent out yesterday said the same happened to their shipping dates.
However still no watch. Maybe I can use my sport band to hold my iPhone onto my wrist and use that?

Ooh, positive news that the SG has gone to preparing for dispatch. Could this be the start of today's festivities?
Just in case anyone mis-understood - this was the Black/SG Sport band only (not the watch)
I think they mean it's just the black sport band with space grey pin, not the watch itself.
Looks like they ordered the SS Space Black watch and this is just to go along with it.

"Thank you for your email. I am continuing to monitor your order from this side and will call you tomorrow."
I had sent him an email asking if Apple can provide the community with a better shipping/delivery estimate. Also if there are any updates at all that I can tell you guys. That's all he replied with.
Will see how the call goes tomorrow but I am hoping that my order will ship today!!

Nice work Harry! I'm pretty certain I can speak on behalf of this community that we really appreciate the effort you're going to to get answers for us all still in processing hell.

No worries.. I am excited but I feel like Apple should be updating us all...not just me so that's why I am doing this. I got a lot of stick on Reddit for talking to Executive Support so I do just want to clarify that I have never asked them to call me. They did so out of the blue because I sent the spreadsheet to Tim Cook stating he might find it interesting to see how people are feeling about this launch.
I reckon I have bit of a wait but I really hope you get yours soon.. I am a 8:16 order so I don't mind waiting longer than the others....but I am still super excited haha.
It's ludicrous that anyone would give you stick for just sharing real world information with them about this launch. They need to learn from it, and they're acknowledging that they want to. You did a good thing for both us and them. So good on you!
They wouldn't say. They repeated about 4 times that it is being reviewed and monitored at the very highest level in Apple though. Not sure if that means Cook himself or just executive support but I got the sense the many people were looking at it.
