It's ludicrous that anyone would give you stick for just sharing real world information with them about this launch. They need to learn from it, and they're acknowledging that they want to. You did a good thing for both us and them. So good on you!

Yep they said they were learning a lot and that the spreadsheet is useful.

No worries.. I am excited but I feel like Apple should be updating us all...not just me so that's why I am doing this. I got a lot of stick on Reddit for talking to Executive Support so I do just want to clarify that I have never asked them to call me. They did so out of the blue because I sent the spreadsheet to Tim Cook stating he might find it interesting to see how people are feeling about this launch.

I reckon I have bit of a wait but I really hope you get yours soon.. I am a 8:16 order so I don't mind waiting longer than the others....but I am still super excited haha.

Reddit has users who constantly bash anyone with anything against Apple. They will give you dislikes for simply saying that you wish they shipped it earlier. They're a bunch of kids. Go praise Apple and how you love the wait and see yourself get 1000 likes. It's shambles which is why I only use this forum because we are all honest decent folk.

You are all going to hate me but not as much as I hate myself.
I ordered SS Milanese loop on the 10th email confirmation 8:08am.
I received this on launch day at 8am with UPS. This is when it all went wrong.

A friend of mine offered me £1000 for it and like a idiot I accepted his offer thinking well I can wait until June for a replacement one or so I thought.
So I reordered one. My wife said at the time "You will regret selling it"

I did order a SGBSB at the same time with emil confirmation time of 8:11am which is still processing.

I am now regretting selling my Milanese Loop watch and watching this thread every two minutes to see when my sports watch will be dispatched.

I'm thinking of using it for 14 days then returning it hopping the replacement one will arrive in the mean time. As after doing a try on session at Apple store I like the Stainless Steel best.

Lessons Learned:

1. If you give people a choice, Don't assume you know which they will all pick

2. When you release to multiple countries make sure you can make enough stock.

3. If you allow people build options, combine them at the last minute, they don't need to be in the same physical box. Just turn up at the same time.

4. Provide plenty of good quality updates.

5. Your loyal pre-order customers come first! PERIOD! IF you can't meet pre-order demand then you can't start selling in stores (Apple or otherwise).

I'm sure there are more.. but these come to mind..

100% in agreement on this. It's nice it all comes in the same box, but it's clear this must cause delay in shipping devices.

I got a lot of stick on Reddit for talking to Executive Support

Out of interest what sort of 'stick' did you get?
I can't see what anyone should have an issue with you speaking on behalf of a whole load of unhappy customers. Seems like a very altruistic thing to do and, like many others here have already stated, it is much appreciated.

By the way as a relatively late-comer to this party I have no idea what the 'Francis' meme is all about and where it came from...
Anyone care to enlighten... :)

Oh and needless to say - no movement on my 08:09 order... :-(

hmm....

Noticed from the spreadsheet that generally speaking everyone up to 8:06 Order time with the SG Black Sport band has been charged. IF (pretty big if) they start charging cards today, how many minutes per day does it generally move on.

This is the most frustrating wait ever! But imagine how much more frustrating it would be without that work of art spreadsheet! Cheers for that Harry!

Hope we get some good news today people!

Haha no worries.

Well hopefully with the card charges coming today, we should be able to gauge how far they get easily. Up until now it's been hard to tell how far they are getting. Now we have a good data set to measure it by. If they only do 08:07's today then we know we are in for a very very long wait. But if they get to the 08:20's then we know it's going to be faster from now on etc.

I hate to be selfish, but I'm an 8:07 so I'm praying I get served today. I also hope that we had a godzilla-sized shipment that serves all y'all!

Come on the 8:13 orders! Let's see some movement today (hahahaha I'm laughing just typing that) :-(

Haha not selfish at all! YOU are next! :D

I just want Apple to serve in the right order. If that means I have to wait then so be it but I just hope they can start fulfilling the demand because at this rate it doesn't look like they would ever catch up!

I've been keeping an eye out for UPS planes arriving at EMA ( East Midlands Airport) and haven't seen any. This is the airport they ship to normally and where the other orders arrived. I also contacted Apple Executive team some time ago and contacted them recently again regarding the status of shipments and was told:

'I have not heard any news regrading the batches that will ship in near future. But I’ll inform you as soon as I can.'

I'm not very hopeful for today at the moment.

The one thing missing here is.... where do we send all the beer tokens too, Harry?

That is for your divine interventions with St. Francis, and Tim Cook?

Is there an app for that? Hopefully, not on the Watch only , as mine is "still processing?

:)

Actually... There is a plane arriving at EMA from Louisville (main Apple Watch depot in America) today. It's flight number 5X237. This happened last time before others got charged and dispatched. My best bet is that we will see activity tomorrow and not today based on this

My black sport band has just been dispatched, still waiting on my Stainless Steel with blue leather loop Apple Watch tho and a white sport band.

I'm hoping now that one of my sport bands have been dispatched that my Apple Watch won't be too far behind.

my WSB has just been updated.. ordered 21st of april. going from delivery in May to 27 may - 1 June timeframe

Interesting, looking at FlightRadar, it's a 767 loaded with ±50,000 Kg of freight. Due in just after 18:00 this evening. That's a lot of 'stuff"!

How many Watches per Kg?? :)

Haha! Well I don't want any beer tokens but if you have any Apple Watch app ideas then let me know.

I run an iOS Development company and like to code little tools in my spare time so would like to have a crack at making a simply little Watch app over the next few weekends :D
