I know I'm the only one, but I don't not like it. Certainly wouldn't spend $100 on it, much less $10k, but I don't hate it.

I’d rather buy 18 AirPods Max(es) than spending $10K on this electronic atrocity.
But Apple limits the quantity you can purchase -- clearly buying one of these Caviar custom iPhones is better and easier way to spend $10,000.

The economic numbers don’t even add up. $400,000/Apple I, say $15,000 average per iPhone of 9 pieces. Are they running a charity? Anyone who believes it was an original IC board is a sucker with way too much money... LOL

Why complain about things, you would never buy?

Are you calling people foolish, because they buy some expensive plastic pieces that are sewn together to become a handbag with "Gucci" printed on it?

There is an audience who likes it. They do have the right to do that. Do not tell them, what they have to like instead, just because you like it...

This isn't about being expensive. It's about destroying history and art.

Anyone who believes they won’t make money out of the remaining components is a sucker.

It always makes me somewhat sad for humanity when this decadence is highlighted. It also annoys me when they cannot be bothered to get an English speaker to add the definite and indefinite articles to the ad copy... With so little attention to grammatical detail how could I consider spending 10 grand on their product?
I suspect that there comes a point that wealth is so great one almost loses sight of the value of money like 10k.

You buy something gaudy like that phone as an amusement to show friends for a laugh. If it goes over well, you show it again. If not, you throw it in a drawer and forget or even care that you have it.

I think you are right, there is a depravity in the way such actions become out of touch with your fellow man.

How can you not love these guys?

At best, it will be worthless when the next iPhone is released.
You have no imagination dude... Think in 50 years, when the iBrain is released there will be a version that has a piece of an iPhone 12 with a piece of a apple 1 case embedded into it. Then you'll see how cool this is!

Wow. I’m feeling a level of disgust over this senseless destruction that I used to reserve for baby seal hunters...

Hideous layout but honestly I wouldn't object to a nice wood backed iPhone with the stainless silver band and metal hardware. Not that cheap fake wood either, the real nice stuff like makassar ebony, american walnut, or brazilian cherry wood

Way to take something worth real money, and cut it up and put into something that will be worthless in a few years.

My guess is nobody's gonna buy one and they know this (so they don't need to chop up an Apple I). Rather, they're banking on this encouraging people to buy their other stuff.

$10K? I'd rather use the money to a get a new iPhone Pro with memory upgrade for the next few years. Or a new iPhone Pro and a new MBP with upgrades.
I'm debating between that and a plastic stand for my Apple monitor.
