OS X 10.4.4—Bugs?

Like the new ESPN widget. Did I mention when I open Mail I get the beachball of death, mail doesn't respond.:mad:

Yes! Deleting all " com.apple._____.plist " files worked fine for me. And it solved some other problems also. I should have figured this out myself (like I did so many times in OS7.x - OS9.2.2) but I'm still not quite familiar with OSX.x.x. Thanks, Diatribe in Mexico! :)
 
Definatly noticed 10.4.4 to be unstable alot of my apps quit randomly and finder tends to restart quite often on its own, hopefully apple will fix this list of buggy's soon

Lost my superdrive

I updated to 10.4.4 and I've lost my superdrive. The operating system doesn't recognize it at all. I have a Powerbook G4, 800 MHz, and the superdrive was Mitsubishi.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Here is another problem I have been having with the ESPN Widget, now it is telling me that it cannot retrieve scores. This is in addition to the problems with it not retrieving scores up to date but instead giving me the day before scores regardless of when I check it the next day. Can anyone help me with this? I have already tried repairing permissions.

I'm seeing the same thing right now. My ESPN widget has been behaving itself for the last few days (as long as you wait a few seconds after invoking Dashboard to give the widget time to update), but it's not connecting now. I would assume this is a server-side issue, not anything to do with the widget.

I hear what you are saying about the server-side issue relating to the widget being un able to retrieve data. My original problem that I posted about a couple posts ago was based on the fact that the widget was still showing yesterdays scores even when games were being played the next day IN ADDITION to the fact that the server cannot retrieve data now. I was more concerned with it posting old scores after long periods of waiting for it to update rather then this minor server issue.

so far, I can't scan or print under 10.4.4. I'm about to reinstall my printer software, repair permissions, and see if that does the trick.
 
ichat/AIM problems??

I haven't had any of the sound or account setup problems, but I have had problems signing-on on iChat or Instant Messenger ever since I updated..
I've had to resort to aim express...

anybody else have this problem?

For some reason I constantly have been getting booted off of iChat, I should mention that I was running into the error message "Error -1001 Network Timed Out". I am not sure if that makes a difference.

Does anyone have any ideas what this could be?
 
after updating, my 1Ghz G4 ibook modem is now quite unstable?
I am getting kicked off after 1-3 hours now, were in 10.4.3 it was rock solid...
does anyone have any suggestions?
I am fully up to date with updates: qtime 7.04, itunes 6.02

I have problems...

When checking/deleting my e-mails on aol.com, Safari ALWAYS crashes! It's so annoying!

Other than that, no other problems I'm aware of

i noticed no problems what so ever. and for me, its just instal, restart, and keep using. no repair permissions or anything.
 
I've had quite a bit of instability, as well as a problem with gif rendering in WebKit browsers.
 
Also, aren't I supposed to have that Tiger tile game as a widget? It's nowhere to be seen on mine... :confused:
