Not sure why. When there are updates the little number doesn't show up to the left any more. Repaired permissions, restarted, but it's still not working. Not that big of a deal, really. No other issues.

I started having this problem a few days ago as well. My RSS feeds do not update anymore. No number, no nothing. Anyone got any ideas? I did the Reset Safari, and that didn't help.

UPDATE:
After further investigating. I found some other users having the same problem on the Apple support site. Apparently this has something to do with .Mac syncing your bookmarks. So far I changed my sync settings from "automatic" over to "every hour". This seems to have restarted my RSS feed counts.

For some reason I constantly have been getting booted off of iChat, I should mention that I was running into the error message "Error -1001 Network Timed Out". I am not sure if that makes a difference.

Does anyone have any ideas what this could be?

Could the problem I am having with the ESPN Widget be from a bad RSS feed? I am seeing the scores of games 2 and three days ago. I have waited 5 or 10 minutes for it to update yet the widget still displays very old games. This has the potential to be my favorite widget if it would just update in a quick enough time.

Powerbook G4 Display Doesn't Work

After upating to 10.4.4 my display stopped working. I just got a black screen, but the backlight was on. I connected it to an external display (LCD TV), used the "mirror" display button and it changed my Powerbooks display to 800x600 @ 60 Hz.

This looks insane, it repeats the image across the screen 4 times (like a checkerboard) and shouldn't even be in Hz to begin with. It's listed as a "VGA Display" in the display preferences but a LCD in the system profiler.

I've had the display replaced twice previously if that would affect it. I called Apple Care, but I don't have my original restore discs. I did a Tiger "archive and install" but the problem is still there. I'm going to "Erase and Install" later tonight to see if that works.

Has anyone else had LCD problems on 10.4.4? I'm running a 17" Powerbook, 1.5ghz, 1gb ram.

Well I've given up trying to get 10.4.4 to work from my external LaCie Mini Firewire drive. I've installed completely clean numerous times now and each time everything is doing fine up to and including the 10.4.3 update, but once I install 10.4.4 I get a kernel panic on booting.

Doing a search on the Apple Forums shows that quite a few people have had issues with 10.4.4 and Firewire. That and the facts that I was doing a completely clean install and that 10.4.3 works perfectly (I am doing this on my 10.4.3 running off the Firewire drive) makes me think there is a serious issue with 10.4.4 and Firewire.

I have the same problem and it's getting on my nerves.
(I haven't tried iChat after the "fix" mentioned below).

+ After installing 10.4.4 I verified my disk and there were some problems with wrong names? Anyway, I had to boot from the OS X installer disc and run repair from there to solve the problem. The same problem happened when I installed it on my eMac (same solution).

dont know if this pertains to 10.4.4 but im pretty sure it does. i have an iBook G4 connected wirelessly through an airport extreme and same with my sister and we downloaded AIM 4.7 and weve been having problems since we got our laptops it unexpectidly quits by itself wheter we are IMing someone or looking at a buddys info, i have been looking all over but i dont really see anyone with these problems....

when i downloaded 10.4.4

i lost all my itunes libray and play lists.

all my safari auto fill names and bookmarks and now i cant remember some sites so i cant go on them

lost all my widgets and placed programes back in my dock which i had removed and deleted soem programmes

and for some odd reason google earth (which i have waited a long time to apear on mac) has sudenly recently stopped working.

there arnt as many size options for my panasonic hd ready lcd tv (which is my monitor) i could go up to 1080i lines and now the max is 720

my monitor is a 768x 1360 (26 inch screen) and i hoped that with the update apple would have made a size to fill this instead i get a 24 inch picture when i use my mac.

and my palm t3 wont sync with the usb.

i wouldnt mind if i could use the isync like my boss does with his cube that uses panther,

what a shoddy back step.

AND..... some times safari is a real Bain

my bos who down loaded 10.4.4 on his 12" power book however: no problems at all

im not after answers or quick fixes, as i have managed to re load all my 10,000+ songs back in itunes, but i hope some one from apple is reading these comments and actually taking note. or not:confused:
