On another note, Screw you Apple! I'm getting Lightroom. My biggest regret is waiting so long for D300 support. I've had the camera for over 2 months and I cannot use it in Aperture. I'm tired of waiting.

I have been in the same position. Wanted to love Aperture but have gone over to Lightroom for my D300. When my 30 day free trial runs out this week Adobe can have my money. Even if Aperture 2 eventuates, I would still be wary switching as it does not appear as if Apple have their heart in it :(

Ok, I am officially bored waiting now - let's just get this update released so someone can then start a new thread asking when 10.5.3 is coming out to sort out the problems in 10.5.2 ;)

i think apple never released an update on a saturday.. i could be wrong..
well.. back to my lair.. waiting..

Would they release on a weekend? Because I'm thinking that we're gonna have to wait until Tuesday.

EDIT: Whoops! Didn't see the post above.

Thx for that! So it is possible - but unlikely! :(
I'm now joining the club of boredom.

I orginally posted that information. The one listed as Sunday was actually on a Monday (10.3.5, 9 August 2004). The only Saturday release was the very first update - 10.0.1. Most of the updates have been released Monday through Thursday, with none of those days particularly favored (although Mondays have a slight edge, so we may all hope for this Monday).

Seeing this, it makes me wonder (again) why so many people hope for either Tuesday or Friday... it doesn't make sense!

Those days are just Apple's favourite release days, so people usually opt for them.

This week we got the iPod touch/iPhone refresh on Tuesday.

it's better for the long-waited 10.5.2 update to be REALLY GOOD, or else most of the mac users will be very disappointed.

As has been said before, it was stupid of them to fix EVERYTHING is one huge update. They should have fixed the major problems right away (such as the macbook wireless dropout), and then finalized everything in 10.5.3. Instead, we've had to deal with all of the major problems for months straight because Apple won't just release more, smaller updates.

Whoever was in charge of updating Leopard messed up BIG this time around.

That's what he (or she) was commenting on; for OS updates the historical data doesn't support that. Mondays through Thursdays are all about equally popular; Fridays only about half as often.

I think it's been confirmed than none have EVER come out on sunday... so I'll be sleeping in tomorrow. As if I didn't have a better excuse...
