OS X 10.7.2 Build 11C62 Seeded to Developers

Apple is continuing to press toward an iCloud launch with a new beta seed of OS X 10.7.2 pushed out to developers today. The new seed, known as Build 11C62, comes six days after the previous seed.

Apple continues to list no known issues with the latest build, and has made no changes to its list of focus areas for testing, which include AddressBook, GraphicsDrivers, iCal, iChat, iCloud, Mac App Store, Mail, MobileMe, Safari, Spotlight, and Time Machine. As with the last several developer builds, iCloud functionality is integrated directly into OS X 10.7.2 instead of being offered as a separate download.

Apple is reportedly holding a media event to introduce the next-generation iPhone hardware and officially launch iOS 5 and iCloud. OS X 10.7.2 should arrive as a free update for OS X Lion users right as iCloud and the other hardware and software debut.

I hope 10.7.2 fixes all of the problems i have been having. :mad:

safari sucks, mail sucks, ical sucks. pretty much anything i do because of installing lion has sucked. everything stalls or freezes!

Funny I had none of those problems. The last few editions of the beta have had massive issues with all of those apps in terms of stability, but I expect that in a beta. Strange how there will little issues early on, and bigger ones as it gets closer to complete..

as i type now its doing it.....argg!!!

i will keep my fingers crossed and hope the issues are addressed and fixed :D
 
This update better fix three major flaws:

1) Mission Control's horrible execution of Expose. It needs an option to UNGROUP windows when activating Mission Control, as well as an option to turn off spaces and the absolutely useless grey border and the pulling back of the wallpaper. Its the main reason why I upgraded back to Snow Leopard

2) The TRIM bug. I know its not a bug, but I will classify it as one. TRIM for 3rd Party SSDs *really* needs to be implemented. Were nearing 2012 and OS X still doesnt have real TRIM support for real SSD drives. The apple branded Toshiba SSD drives SUCK.

3) Wifi connectivity problems. Nuf said.

same here~ Mail.app crashes 3-4 times in 5 minutes.
 
WiFi issues, slow and sluggish, 10 times longer to boot than SL, cooking eggs off the processor, sluggish gestures..... runs HOT HOT HOT, after 100 clean installs..... and I' back on Snow Leopard. After upgrading to every new 10.x OS...... 10.7 is a fail. fail. fail. I really hate to say it.:eek:

its been a fail so far.....i will agree with that unfortunately....
 
If this is how "developers" react to beta software, I'd hate to see you guys working on alpha, or pre-alpha, software.
 
Weird. I've had no issues, since the last update fixed my wi-fi problem. My computer temp was lower from the get-go with Lion.

Sounds like you don't know how to use the new Mission Control interface. By UNGROUP, do you mean the ability to see the individual windows within a group more clearly? Simply swipe up on your trackpad when hovering over a group. They will expand. Or press the Space bar when hovering over a window. You'll get a Quick Look of it.

And the gray border separates the "windows" from the "spaces". The items along the top, in the gray border, are all spaces. The items on top of the wallpaper are application windows.

How would you propose they offer all of this functionality more clearly?
 
The only problems I've had with Lion are related to the Wi-fi bug that was fixed (for me anyway) with version 7.1. I've had a few (literally, maybe three or four) Mail.app crashes since upgrading but nothing major. Haven't noticed the computer running hot or anything, although I will admit that shut-down and start-up times are a bit slower (doubtless because of Lion's "resume" features, which seem to be doing something even if you disable them).

I'm looking forward to 7.2. Hopefully once Apple gets iCloud and iOS 5 out the door, they can focus more on fixing existing bugs rather than adding new stuff.
 
As usual, with every new OS released, lots of people have lots of issues.
The silent majority however has no issues. ;)

10.7.2 has had lots of development time, and presumably it will fix a lot. OTOH, it is THE iCloud release, and as usual, many users will have lots of issues. :p

I have used Lion as my primary OS ever since the GM, and have never looked back at Snow Leopard. It all works great for me. Must admit, that i did not upgrade but wiped the HD, installed the GM (you know, the "ESD"-way) and did a restore of all my data.

I love Lion.

Can't wait for 10.7.2, iOS 5 and iCloud. :cool:

No pressure, mate. Just the whole world looking at you as you replace the best sole presenter in the world.

Sounds like you suffer from a form of arrogance.

By this I mean, when I activate it, I dont want three applications im working on with 15 windows total to show up as three items in mission control. I, unlike some (and by this it is obvious would include you) multitask a LOT between photoshop, illustrator and indesign.

Some of us don't use spaces. Theres no need for the grey border, as it only makes Expose (or mission control) more cluttered.

Like I said in my original post, ON/OFF switches would solve this. But I'm getting really tired of having to explain to macrumors members about having CHOICE.

What you want is already there. Check out System Preferences.

Just to address number 3. In the last build, I was having severe wifi issues. A couple nights ago, I got a kernel panic, so I actually went and did the whole SMC, PRAM reset (I zapped the PRAM 4 times in a row). I then went ahead and deleted all my airport prefs and re-setup everything. Wifi hasn't dropped a single time since (it was usually dropping at once per 10-15 min or so), so I think the problem may be fixed.
 
I guess I have a "gifted" mac :). I'm using Lion since DP1 and I have no issues, whatsoever. I'm just waiting for iCloud.

TIP: For those complaining about heat issues: try a SMC reset. It worked on my friend's Macbook Pro.
