I look at it as an addition symbol (perhaps because I'm taking precalculus online for school right now but w/e). I think it might be the Widget Creator Module that I mentioned in another thread. Basically it adds WebClip to the iPhone...

I'm pretty darn sure it's the accelerometer icon. Since the accelerometer detects changes of electrical current on four sides. As seen here: http://www.apple.com/iphone/features/index.html#accelerometer

That picture was posted before another keynote a while back. Totally bogus.

Nope, it was a spy photo for this keynote that was taken almost a year ago when Steve was testing the 10" tablet.

Seriously! I just got off the elevator and saw this screen. I heard from my friend who wipes Steve's @$$ that he was going to unveil it last year, but there weren't enough phony rumors and hype about it to push the stock prices up.

I can't wait to line up for version 2. Nothing is sexier.

I was thinking of trying to get into WWDC just to sit at the bar and do shots with friends everytime Steve said "amazing" or "revolutionary". Anyone willing to be our designated driver? Should be hammered within 5 minutes. :D

So much speculation on new products. I just hope I don't have to jailbreak this one in order to put applications on it. Hope it has GPS

I pulled this from 4chans /b/ board, about job secrets.

Anonymous 06/05/08(Thu)21:50:02 No.71396198

i work at an apple store, and we've had 3G iphones in the back room under lock and key for about a week or so. they are going to be announced at steve jobs' keynote on monday for immediate sale, and no one is sure about it, and the majority of the public thinks there is no way we could have kept something so anticipated a secret for so long.

Anon delivers again!

So I'm walking out of my office earlier tonight and when I call the elevator, look what I see:

WTF ever....

About as believable as the mock ups.

By the way, I work at that same Apple store, and that guy is a chronic liar.

So I'm walking out of my office earlier tonight and when I call the elevator, look what I see:

FUNNY AS $h!t

I personally would rather have "the deeper experience". And as always, I hope they have GPS and a 20GB Hard Drive. Cheers!!!

I really hope you guys aren't serious...
I am from Brazil, and yes, we do have computers and internet just as fast as the US... so... wtf????

So, you are part of a primitive tribe in South America? I'm not talking about the developed part of the continent.

wha? Apple dropped Mac from OSX?

Does this mean that other PC's will be able to get Leopard?

WHAT DOES THIS ALL MEAN?????

Wow, Apple really is heavily branding OS X, and as others have noted, without the "Mac". Looks like, as others have said, that the 2 bridges represent dual OS X development platforms, one for computers and one for mobile devices.

Here is the one thing I don't understand about the rumor mill. So many people have their hands in the production process----why are there not more leaks? Case in point: Graphic designers, assemblers, shippers, hardware vendors, even the people who make the boxes! An NDA only goes so far...

First off, no, flash memory is not going to be available in 120 GB. Since it doubles, it would go to 128 GB. And so far, a 128 GB flash drive is still extremely expensive. I think the MOST we will see in the new iPhone is 32 GB, with POSSIBLY a 64 GB, but at a major premium.

Secondly, the reason it's called "OS X iPhone" is because it's just that... OS X on the iPhone. The iPhone is not a Macintosh, it's simply another piece of hardware built by Apple. Therefore, it runs a slightly modified version of Mac OS X. But it's not a Mac OS. It's an iPhone OS, hence, OS X iPhone.

Stop wasting your time!

nothing new to see here, move along.

they are just posters. Of course they arent gonna show posters with the "new" iphone on them, they probably wont go up until monday. That would be a leak waiting to happen.

"Yes mr security guard, i need you to guard these large posters". haha

i think the speculation is really getting out of hand with all these threads. I love reading the threads, but man, people... GET A GRIP :)

I have to bite my tongue and remind myself that not everyone lives here in San Francisco, and doesn't know the lay out of Moscone West convention center (where the event will be held).
This is a building with a 3 story lobby, with full glass windows wrapping around it. Windows that allow FULL and CLEAR view of these banners.
Folks, stop wasting your time trying to read ANYTHING into these banners!
We all know Apple isn't going to leak anything via these banners, more so since they've been up since yesterday in FULL and CLEAR view of anyone walking down the street and happens to turn their head and look inside the lobby.
Just hold your breaths and wait till Monday when we'll finally hear what Steveo has to say for himself and we can then all jump onto the Apple Store website or go stand in line at the Apple store and plunk down our credit cards for whatever it is thats shiny and new that we couldn't live without on Sunday night.

And yes... if it's a new iPhone I'll be in line, as my housemate wants her first iPhone and seems as good a time as any.
