Prepare for (N)OS X Lion

You took the words right out of my mouth. It always bothers me when I see/hear "All they have to do is push a button and release the news!"

Its really not as simple as that.

3 minutes to go. Doesn't look like its going to happen. For a timed release, I'm still holding off for 9 AM Apple Time on whatever day they decide to release.

If the Apple store is pulling an all nigher tonight, that would mean it would not be able to come out at 9:00 Apple Time because the cat would be out of the cage as soon as the first Apple Store opened.

of course nothing will happen

It's all down to some stupid person who thinks they know it all, then we all crowd round this thread expecting something to happen (hence the 4 pages in it).

Yesterdays' rumours are just as bad - 6 pages and counting.

Ok everybody I have it on good authority that it will come out at 2am british time...lol

I'm not going to sit by and wait, I'll just wait to hear the news and launch the app store

Hmm... it does say on the Cult of Mac page that Lion will be arriving at about 1am.

Clutching at straws now. Buggerpoo

Ugh. I wish Apple just told us when it was going to be released. Wouldn't it be beneficial for everybody?

Not telling everyone makes it simple to push the release date back should there be problems. If those outages in the App Store yesterday were due to stress tests and the servers did not pass Apple might have pushed back the release date. But having the overnight tonight must mean something.

I bet they're laughing at us right now.

In other news, Bill Gates has shot Steve Balmer and has re-taken his position as CEO at Microsoft.

Well, you believed the rumour mill, so...!

I dont even know why i'm waiting for it on the App Store, i'm actually waiting for the new Airs instead.

Feel a bit of Apple-excitement remorse coming on...

Look at us all staring at the screen refreshing things with rabid anticipation.

But on the other hand... GIEF!

Because, Apple, a corporation that prides itself on ease of use would release a major operating system when their help lines arn't open.

Yet here i am.
