I remember the last two OS releases being at the end of their respective months.

Can anyone confirm when all the Mac OS releases were? It might give us some insight...

They seem to be consistent with end of the month releases...

I think you did not understand me right.

He said that he thinks it could be released at midnight in the country where it is midnight.

So i said that cant be true because it is already midnight or somewhere in the night on 14.07 in many countries, for example China, Australia, Russia and so on. And Lion had to be released there already if his thought were true.

Yes, just had a quick look.

The problem with rumours is they sometimes get mistaken for as fact.

If it comes tomorrow, I'll be happy, but most of me knows it will be at the end of the month. In fact I remember talking to my mate last month and we were guessing about the date with me saying 26th. Can't remember why I picked that date, ithink it was an old rumour from back last month!

Meh, who knows? Yes I agree, the problem with rumours is that people take them for fact. This is also a particularly fresh rumour, aside from the ones saying it'd be out on the 14th July.

Sometimes you just don't believe the rumours any more! I still like to read about Lion anyway because I'm looking forward to it!
:apple:

The only reason I think it could be tonight, is there seem to be pretty solid rumours of new hardware tomorrow. Since I can't imagine Apple will want to launch new hardware with SL, they need to get Lion out before the stores open at 9am.

Otherwise I'll believe it when I see it ;)

At least we know its July, I **********g hate the old 'coming this fall' crap. It was was quirky at first, now its a pain in the ass. Going to bed , Lion wont be here for a week or so i reckon.

Call out the instigators... because there's something in the a-iiiirrrr!
We got to get ourselves together, because OS X Li-on's here!

and you know it's right...

that sounds about right considering that they may be waiting for lion release to put out new hardware and they'll want something big to report on the 19th which i believe is the end of there selling quater

Also they will want to state the numbers from the people who upgraded the first week or first 48 hours.

As true as that is, all them Mac OS X releases required time for media distribution. For Lion, all it takes is for Steve to wake up one day and push the 'enable Lion for download' button.

1) So media production is faster at the end of the month? They could just as easily release in the beginning.
2) There is no "enable Lion for download" button. In technology, there aren't "Buttons" for these kind of things. It is a much more detailed and complicated process.

Some common misconceptions. :-/ My intention is not to be harsh on you, but to point out some common flaws in thinking.
