I'm not sure why Apple ever believed it would be more convenient for me to have to go outside of my web-browser to look at article on the internet, but they were wrong about that.

My download isn't even moving. It's been sitting for an hour, so I restarted it and it still won't move!
"The application you tried to download could not be downloaded. Check your internet connection and try again."
This is the current way to make a bootable USB of OS X Mavericks to do a clean install http://www.mactrast.com/2013/10/build-bootable-usb-installer-os-x-mavericks/

And once you have users upgrade for FREE and try out teh App Store they might have stayed away from, it is much easier to break down and buy another App or two from there.
Now, this is REALLY awesome for me. I have iTunes credits saved up and was looking to upgrade to Mavericks AND Aperture...but was thinking I'd need to add more credits...(I still might) but this helps a lot!

How is it done now, other then just running the 10.9 installer downloaded from the app store?
No, on iMac. But found a backup file on my HD. Just moved the file and it's installing now. Thank you for the help
It is definitely true in Snow Leopard. Clicking "More Info" does not bring up that window, it launches the System Profiler, where that information cannot be found. An oversight on Apple's part.
i love this high speed college internet, 100mbps lol.. better than my home internet and my mom is paying, can life be any better?

If you downloaded the GM from a torrent site or other non-Apple Developer site and try to download the full version and install it, you may be screwed: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1657531/
