I'm not saying that I'm bored of Aqua, but it would be nice if these menus were a hint to a new UI in the next year or so. :)

That QuickLook panel looks awesome. And so do the menus. But they should really revert to the tinier, bold font. That looks MUCH better!

Yeah, I think they have to unify the look of the scrollbars and make the other menus black too. And they really need to fix one thing in Terminal.app. When you double-click the tab-bar, it doesn't make a new tab like it does in Safari. That's really annoying.

The tinier bold font felt too squeezed, this font feels a big more well designed and more elegant.

I like the design of those dock menus. They look a lot more modern than present. Will all menus take on this look?

Yeah, they look good. I especially like the new ability to trash from stacks. I was wondering if it was just me and I just never knew how to do it. :p

I do like the glossy black stuff. If aqua/glass ever goes away, I wouldn't be sorry to see the glossiness remain in those black elements.

"Trashing Files from Stacks: Trashing files from Stacks in Grid view now properly deletes the selected files." <- I don't understand this feature?

The more you use SL the more you will find that you don't use the finder. That's how it's going for me at least.

actually I use SL now but i'm not native english so sometime I don't understand

sorry but it would be so nice for any explanation ^^

build 10A411 restores iMovie functionality

Prior to the latest update iMovie '09 was totally unusable. You could play a movie you were editing but the window wouldn't update so you couldn't see where the playhead indicator was. And the media window (music, pictures, titles, etc.) wouldn't load. This latest update has restored full functionality. iMovie '09 (version 8.0.3 build 802) seems to be working perfectly now.

I'm running Tiger on a white plastic 17" iMac (intel, core 2 duo, 1GB ram) will my computer be 32 or 64 bit with snow leopard? And how would I make it 64 bit if it can't currently run in 64?

Where did you pre-order from? I dont see anything about pre-ordering on Apple.com

If you already have an account at the apple store, they will send you an e-Mail about it. The only bad thing about getting the very first version is that there's lots of updates to download every time you install the OS.

I can't decide whether I'm going to get the $10 upgrade for my 13" MBP or buy the family pack to upgrade my Mac Mini, too.

Does anyone know (or think) that they black contextual menus will be implemented system wide, i.e. for the menu bar?

Seems to me it would be a little inconsistent to have different coloured menus while clicking on different things....

Ah yes, nothing quite like running beta software as your main OS!

A surefire way to screw yourself over.

Beta or not, Snow Leopard is quite stable and I’ve ran it as my main OS for a month now. Never crashed.
