This public beta should be the same as the Developer releases. In fact developer releases will get more updates than the public beta releases, so you should be using the developer releases in my opinion.

Well right now I'm downloading it through the public beta release, because I'm not seeing my dev account with the update.

I'll let it download and wait for what other devs are doing before I install this.

If you have a third party SSD, don't forget to re-enable TRIM, but TRIM enabler doesn't work as it should. Disable kernel modification blocking and run the app from within the package. If you don't disable kernel modification blocking, you won't be able to boot up.

I just signed into the Apple beta website and clicked "download" it showed my clade and then the MAS opened and Yosemite started downloading. Also, I'm getting about 2-3 Megabytes per second so the server doesn't seem too overworked.

"Code already redeemed"

You had one job Apple.

I agree. Code was already redeemed for me too. And no beta in my App store purchases tab. And I don't have another Apple account to get another code. Looks like we miss out.

Apple don't make many mistakes but this is one of them. What a mess. Looks like some of us won't get the beta for a while thanks to the issues with the "Code already redeemed" and the beta not showing up in the App store.

where is my code...I signed up back when first made available, supposedly getting an email with code???????????

I signed in to mac app store, nothing there.

The codes are given after signing to the website. The emails likely just contain a link to sign in and not the code. Emails are probably also being spread out to reduce traffic.

Just visit the site linked and sign in then click download beta and you'll see the code. The MAS will automatically get the code from the link if you're on mavericks as well.

Everyone check your purchased tab in the Mac App Store!

Yosemite will be found there.

I see Mavericks....no Yosemite

So basically if you don't have iOS8, which I'm guessing many people don't, it's wise to NOT enable iCloud Drive?

Just for clarification .

From what I have read around here, one you enable it, it upgrades your iCloud "Document" as a whole and its not possible to reverse the change. Saw a few post about people are unable to get to their documents from Pages. Thats what kept me from flipping the switch at the moment.

Multiple iTunes accounts

I too am getting the dreaded "This code has already been redeemed" error message. I wonder if these codes will ever start working, or if Apple will need to cut new ones.

If you're like me and have 2 Apple ID's: iCloud and one for App Store.. Make sure you are not signing in with iCloud one or other way.. I kept using my iCloud to login for beta and didn't realize it was trying to redeem on my App store account as thats what I have signed in to App store!

I made sure I signed into the beta with my App Store account AND App store was using my App Store account.. and things sync'd just fine..

MANY of us use multiple accounts.. so this maybe what some are seeing..

Got it working, went back to the app store front page and clicked redeem and it (eventually) asked me to sign in again, then i went back to the 'download the beta' button and it worked. :)

I've had Mavericks since it was released, and my machine definitely needs a wipe and clean install. Anyone know if there's a way to make a bootable drive with the file I'm downloading?

Cheers, and thanks in advance!

2013 MacBook Air bricked during installation (it's stuck halfway through the install) ... Ughhhhhh

What is my next step of anyone can help?

UPDATE: I held the power button until it turned off then turned it back on and it reinstalled. Everything is working perfectly.
