Anyone else having a problem with the plastic by the clips tearing? Mines starting to almost peal near the bottom one. Also my green seals are already staining. I've had the case for 3 freaking days and haven't been rough on it at all. For $100 I didn't expect this to happen so soon.

Seems like a recurring thing with otterbox and issues with their plastic

Mine seems okay. If its coming off I think there is a year warranty on it.

Also I just noticed that it has a small opening for the mic in the back which is kind of nice. Most cases ignore that and cover it up making it a lost feature.

I exchanged my case at AT&T today because of the rubber tearing near the bottom clip. It was an easy swap until I got home to do a water test and saw a piece of tape keeping the box closed. The women who did my exchange seriously gave me a used case. Not to mention I went to use it anyway and the clips rattle like crazy.

Losing my excitement and patience around this case I wanted badly. I'm just baffled that they basically sold me a $100 case in used, dirty, broken condition.

I've got to ask where exactly you saw that. I may be blind, but I took a look earlier (admittedly I don't have it with me right now) and didn't see one.

Man, I feel sorry for the suckers who continue to get taken by these shysters who call themselves otterbox. How much evidence do you need that their products are utter garbage?

Harsh, but somewhere near the truth.

All their products seem to have serious design faults these days. Commuters that have port covers that won't close and power buttons that are too hard to press, Defenders that scratch iPhones... There is no way I would trust the Armor with my iphone under water.

Got the case yesterday. So far Im really like the case. No problem with the speaker and sound also when I make a call there are no problem and the other side hear me well. Just I hear them weaker but its Tolerated.

But I have one problem: there are many bubbles between the screen protector of armor to iphone 5 screen. Maybe because I have screen protector on my iphone?

Someone also has this problem?

What do you mean by bubble? Like visible bubbles? There is a sort of cushion/gap between the screen and the phone on mine which is how it is designed so that you don't get oils locking, but no bubbles. I also have a screen shield on my phone (SGP crystal).

As to how mine is holding up, very well. No problems. No discoloration. No peeling. No clip rattles. No water leak. I have tested multiple times too. Screen is great and screen response remains excellent. Sound continues to be perfect both on phone calls as well as using the speaker.

Only thing is, I just don't know if I like its overall design enough to keep it. It really is a bulky/heavy mother...

Not surprised about this at all. AT&T will take returned cases and put them back on the sales shelf all the time. They do this with all of their stuff/including phones even.

Fishmd, yes visible bubbles. Like I haven't taped the screen protector on my iphone 5 correctly.
If I will put if off, it will be better?
I have Zagg protector.

Yea it should be fine once your screen protector is off. I don't notice any bubbles on mine.

yeah, it is most likely something with the zagg film. I am sure you wont have any bubbles if you pull that off. You could always get another film like from SGPstore, and that should work with this case as that is what I am using without any problems.

I just got this case today. I haven't done a water seal test but I don't plan on submerging it. I'm sure it will be fine.

I do have a question though. The back plate does seem to have a gap between it and the phone. It looks like there is a rubber seal in that gap but I just wanted to see if that gap is supposed to be there.

It's like that on the 3 Armor cases I've had. :)

Cool. Has everyone that has one done a water test? Or have any of you just winged it? I don't plan on taking my phone swimming or anything. It might get splashed or rained on. I just don't feel like leaving it submerged for 30 minutes to test. Thoughts?

I would not reccomend not water testing it. Because if you don't, and it for some reason happens to leak, you would have noone to blame but yourself if you DO do something that could get it wet. Then your stuck with buying a new device since you did not check the case before hand. Always check just to be safe. If anything at least leave it in there for 10-15 min.

Try this. Go to the toilet or pool WITHOUT your iphone. Unbelievable, I know. I mean, who can go to the toilet these days without playing fruit ninja or checking your email tracking your 59th iphone case.

Well maybe you have kids and want to take pictures or they get a hold of it while out. Ya know its just an extra safety feature not everyone gets it just to be safe when they use the toilet....

Just got the Otterbox Armor for the iPhone 5 today and thought I would give everyone some pictures. The pictures suck as the only camera over here is an iPad. It's not as huge as I thought. I included a couple pictures showing the Armor next to the TakTik Extreme and the Lifeproof Fre for size comparison.

The Armor also comes with a cheap lanyard.
