There is no reason to worry about the case rattling. One of my locks rattles too, but it has nothing to do with the latch. Its simply the latch piece slides up and down just barely, but doesnt affect the actual locking of the case whatsoever. So nothing to worry about there really.

Are you in Springfield?

Your post doesn't make sense to me, trash compactor & bulldozer for crush proof?

And I doubt you'd be able to water from the LifeProof or Armor a few feet under water.

The test that amazed me was the kid who drove over the Armor with a car.

Something like this video with Bulldozer to test Otterbox Armor's crush-proof 2-ton specs

http://www.gottabemobile.com/2013/01/21/watch-a-bulldozer-destroy-fake-iphone-5s/

Even though the iPhones in the video are fakes, it’s tough to see so many gadgets ground up into dust and debris by a huge piece of machinery. It did make us wonder if the OtterBox Armor Series iPhone case could withstand this torture as well as it did getting run over by a car.

My first one rattled like that but the second actually rattles from the hinge moving out a little bit in the same direction that you open it :(

Just got mine in the mail. Passed the water test, sounds are very very good compared to other waterproof cases I've tried, and everything is just working perfectly. I actually like just about everything about this case better than the defender.

i'd love to see or hear a demo of the clip rattle. mine snap and clip tight and are under so much tension i don't see how they could rattle.

got one at the ATT store today- I don't like it- the quality is not that great, especially for $100- the case just doesn't line up all that well when I snap it all together- the biggest grip I have is the mute switch doesn't work well at all- really disappointed and will be returning it- it looks better online than in person.

looks better on my phone then it does online

Has anyone done any water testing with the phone installed, and then taking the phone out to check for water?

anyone find one at a verizon store yet? I get a 25% discount on cases.

You may not get the 25% discount at Verizon once it arrives anyway. I get that through my employer as well and I'm supposed to get a 50% discount at AT&T (the Premire discount). I have Verizon and I believe I'd need to actually have an AT&T plan to be able to actually get their discount, but I can see it an almost every case and accessory if I go to their Primere through my 'work' link. The discount isn't offered on the Otterbox Armor. I asked about it at the AT&T store and they confirmed it. Maybe that'll change though once whatever exclusivity period they've worked out with AT&T is over though and you can buy it at other stores like Verizon. I haven't seen anything about how long that period is though.

I had a 25% off coupon for AT&T and their system would not take it for the Armor case. I don't know if Verizon would allow a discount either.

Is anyone's screen protector scratching up? I had the defender on before this armor case and its a little scratched from going in and out of pockets. Just wondering if this case will do the same thing.

It's weird, mine did that for the first day, but now I can't make it rattle no matter what I do.

Yeah I've was trying to forget about it at first, but everytime I touched it I heard it. So after a few days of it I took it off and am trying to get in touch with Otterbox to help me out. It is hard to describe so I actually just sent that video to them and maybe they'll understand better now.

if you have to use your finger to make the noise or shake the phone to make the noise, how does it happen while you are on the phone? when I'm on the phone my thumb is right over the clip. why would i wiggle it or shake the phone when I'm on it.

but mine does not do that so i would return it if it bothers you that much. i would be concerned that it is not pulling the back in tight enough if the clip is not under tension. mine is as tight as a frogs vagina. they are water tight
