Suuuh-weet!! And so it managed to stay within the original estimate (April 29th - May 3rd). Well done, Apple!
I can't wait to get home and play with it (my father is, thankfully, home to receive the package). Unfortunately, I won't be home until 10:30 PM tonight. Ouch! Damn work :D
 
This waiting is driving me nuts. It's still at Pudong Airport "in transit" (whatever that means) since friday. I can't keep myself from checking the TNT site every 10 minutes, but nothing is changing! Grmbl
 
Just got the best email in a long, long time. From my father:

"Your new Mac has arrived!"

Oh thank god, I can finally stop refreshing the tracking page! Now if only the next eight hours of work would go by fast! :D

Did you receive yours aswell, Mamdouh Medhat and Glögg?
 
NL Distribution Center

Anyone have an idea of how long their order had the "NL Distribution Center" as their carrier before it changed to TNT/UPS?

My order arrived in Netherland for the terrible Merge process on the 24th, changed carrier to the NL Dist. center on the 1st of May, but still no real carrier info...

The Merge hubs are incredibly inefficent these days.

My order has also arrived in the dreaded "merge in NL" hub. (finally! ordered on the 16th April!)
Got my carrier info and tracking number on friday 30th (TNT).

Spoke to TNT five minutes ago:

TNT says they will deliver on the 10th MAY :eek: because Apple has contracted the SLOWEST TNT service, by road!!

Would be quicker sending it by post!

Thank you so effing much Apple.

"Ships within 3 days".... BS !
Can't trust anything they say anymore.

This is the last time CR-APPLE gets any of my money, that's for sure!

Arrival: -4 hours

Hello all, I received my (first) MBP four hours ago here in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Order date: 19/4
Shipping date: 24/4
Delivery date: 3/5

Woot! My mac status has been updated to being in Eindhoven and scheduled to be delivered tomorrow in Groningen! I'm so happy haha!!

03 May 2010 16:52:00 Kolding Receiver Not Home. Follow Up Action Underway.

Great :( They gave me an estimate of 14:00 and have been home all day except 10-11:30.

I'm getting a reschedule for tomorrow. But I'm only home half the day
 
Today it was May 3rd, the time where my MacBook Pro should arrive. Tomorrow it is the last estimated delivery date, and it has still not shipped from Shanghai :confused: I don't get it! I ordered it April 16th for crying out loud!?!

I have talked with the apple reseller where i bought the machine, and they may have a feeling, that Apple haven't got the right parts yet to make my machine (it's a CTO).

So i'm very disappointed and tired of waiting - but it looks like i will be waiting a while more :(

Great - congrats! I got mine too, and I'm typing on it right now! It's really a beauty, yet so amazingly responsive to any action I ask of it. I'm thrilled to finally have it!

It's been nice waiting for it to finally be delivered here in this thread amongst you guys, and I hope that the rest of you, who are still waiting, get yours soon.

Current Delivery Status - In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule - 06 May 2010

No idea whether this means I should expect it on the 6th or the 15th. Presumably it will be neither.

Mine was just updated with the exact same info.
 
Guys, just in case you have not heard of it, please DO DOWNLOAD a tool called BetterTouchTool which is a customizable Multitouch control panel. Have fun~ :)

Sure - I will do that if my MBP ever arrives!


Having read many of the 2600 posts in this thread one must conclude that:

1. If you desperately need a laptop in a hurry, don't buy it from Apple.

2. Don't believe it when Apple says "ships in 24 hours" (or even "3-4 days", for that matter).

3. In fact, don't believe anything Apple says, or take it with a pinch of salt.
