You should get your tracking number within an hour or so, I imagine. You ordered on the 13th and still haven't received it? Damn, that's a tough one.

Just got my first "In transit" scan. It's only in Eindhoven, not Arnhem like you guys :( Haha, not much of a difference though.

nope, still no carrier details :(

Yep, i ordered about an hour after the store went back online.
Shipped status on 24th.

don't think they deliver on Saturdays. Tuesday at the earliest now. :(

I reckon you should be getting some sort of update (over the weekend hopefully) as there was over a tonne of stuff that arrived into the UK yesterday and I reckon our MBPs were on it. We shall see.

Well, since I've been checking the order every half hour, I noticed that the status has changed twice. I now have a UPS tracking number, (no email confirmation yet), and a "04 May 2010 (Subject to change)" estimate...Tuesday it is then, so I believe  :( :D is the way I'm feeling at the moment.

UPS has status as "Billing Information Received", so they will probably collect Saturday for delivery on Tuesday......people and their holidays!! Get back to work you slackers! :p

Had to recheck UPS. Luckily I should have a new MBP to take up all this free time, otherwise I would find it hard to adjust!

Status updated to In Transit:

This is what I got so far:

30 Apr 2010 21:41:00 Eindhoven Shipment In Transit.
30 Apr 2010 18:37:56 Arnhem Hub Shipment In Transit.
30 Apr 2010 18:37:49 Arnhem Hub Shipment Received At Transit Point.
30 Apr 2010 18:00:11 Arnhem Hub Shipment In Transit.

So, if my package really was at Arnhem to start with (which seems more likely), then it has sort of "gone the wrong way": Eindhoven is more to the south than Arnhem :( There of course could be a perfectly natural explanation for this "detour", and it could not be the "wrong way", logistically speaking, but it is still a bit weird.

For Swiss wainting

Here is my detailed tracking so you'll get an idea of the route of my Merge shipment + TNT. If you're in the Zürich area it will normally take one day less to deliver than mine.
Wish you a nice weekend

From what I can see, you need a very, VERY small philips (+) head to open the case bottom, a slightly larger one to get the HDD out, and then a T9 TORX for the rails. Same as all the older ones.

Taking the battery out, however, needs some weird triangle thing. look on ifixit.com :) I dont think you need to remove the battery to remove the hdd, and you defn dont for the RAM, 'cos I didn't when I put my 8GB of OWC goodness in.

Thanks a lot for your answer! Still no tracking or carrier info:( was supposed to get the info yesterday. Have a nice weekend.

That is weird. My MBP apparently started in Eindhoven, but has now managed to get to Arnhem:

01 May 2010 02:16:08 Arnhem Hub Shipment Received At Transit Point.

I don't know wether this is a coincidence or not, but when I called Apple last week to inquire about the delivery of my MBP they told me that it would arrive in Luxembourg on 05/03/10 and it would be "picked up" there by a local carrier and be delivered by 05/10/10. My order status did change to NL DISTRIBUTION CENTER today, but I haven't received a tracking # yet.

Ordered: 04/14/10
Shipped: 04/24/10

I got my new anti-glare... I had ordered like april 9th, and then they upgraded me... I've been following this thread with much anticipation, so to share the love/excitement, here's a couple pics of the new computer next to the old computer... base model antiglare on left original unibody, glossy:

Congrats! Since you have the anti-glare and glossy screens, any comments/review? I was hesitating between the glossy and anti-glare (Hi-Res, please! - Sorry Tex-Twil) when I am making my decision a few weeks ago. ;)

I got a glossy from my anti-glare early-2008 MBP, so due to the reflections from the library's lights on the screen, I have to either turn to FULL brightness or adjust my screen to a lower position.

I got a glossy from my anti-glare early-2008 MBP, so due to the reflections from the library's lights on the screen, I have to either turn to FULL brightness or adjust my screen to a lower position.

I find, if both screens are off, I can still see a LITTLE reflection in the matte screen, however, as you can probably tell from the first pic, the reflections are nowhere near as bad as the glossy.

As someone who uses their computer almost anywhere I can, I definitely appreciate the anti-glare over the glossy. I actually ordered an anti-glare before the refresh, but was upgraded. I find the '10 runs a little hotter than the late 08, and am also finding myself having to activate front row manually, as opposed to holding the menu button on the remote.

Hope what i have provided is enough to make an informed decision please reply to this thread if you have further questions... Peace!

EDIT: I got picutres comparing to other screens. On the left, we have a dell wfp2007, middle anti-glare '10, right late '08 glossy

Seems like my MBP is not gonna go anywhere this weekend. It's been stuck in Arnhem, NL, since 2 AM Saturday Night. Seems their estimate is right and it won't be here until Tuesday. Would've liked it Monday, but it's alright :D Can't wait!

what does that mean ?

Ordered one today, and it said 5-7 days shipping time, which worst case scenario then would mean 11th of May.

So why the hell does it right under that line, on my invoice, say delivery date 25th-27th of May???

I'm going to call Apple tomorrow... grr.

You too ?

My explanation would be that our packages didn't have the customs clearance hence they were off loaded and will probably take the next flight. Just guessing though
