All you guys are doing better than me! I ordered 13inch 2.66 ghz with no alterations at 12.53 (uk time) April 13th. STILL HASN'T SHIPPED! I guess i have be thankful its not in the hands of Somalian pirates.... yet?:D

Slightly off topic and only Birtish people will find it funny... if anyone, but.

What's the difference between Cheryl Cole and the Icelandic volcano?

The volcano's still blowing ash :p.

Anyone?

...

No?

My status has changed to;
KOELN (COLOGNE), DE 18/04/2010 15:20 PACKAGE DATA PROCESSED BY BROKERAGE. WAITING FOR CLEARANCE / RELEASED BY CLEARING AGENCY. NOW IN-TRANSIT FOR DELIVERY

SO I am hoping fingers crossed, I have already had the data processing by brokerage yesterday. Also had export scan from shanghai.

I ordered base 15 with hi res glossy.

The Brokerage Data message is just notification of them sorting customs out, not that they have it.

As for the dates they always over estimate on dates, once it reaches EU distribution you get the company that will be delivering you items. I have found from past orders... if you ordered just the hardware not other items including Apple Care it comes via UPS.. if you order Apple Care or any other items it comes Via TNT in the UK

My MBP was shipped on the 15th from China and the dates show Wednesday for MBP delivery and 5th May for Apple Care lol.. still I will ge tit before an iPad lol

Dont give up hope lol....

I spoke to TNT yesterday about my shipment, they said that they had hold of lots of Apple Orders but had not updates their tracking as some are comming to the UK via Sea/road.... they said they were advising customers of upto 48 hour delays.

So I honestly have no idea if mine's delayed....or do the delays ONLY affect UK/EU? Mine's shipping to Texas.

My estimated arrival date is still April 21rst by 10: 30...which is good because I'm going out of town for a week on that day! So it's kinda important that I know when it's getting here!

Most of the font on the tracking page is all red and, for some reason...my freaking MBP is STILL in China....although I don't see that it's actually "delayed" anywhere....so is it?

But even though shipment information was sent two days ago...it still hasn't left the country?

Very interesting... I've a feeling that your MBP went on the wrong flight? Hmmm...

If it is coming by sea, it would first land in Southampton/Portsmouth, no?
What about LAND, anyone? Via Eurostar from Paris...

well if Katla awakens then you are unlucky since it can take up to one year to the ashes to disappears from that volcano.

don't hold your breath

The last time this volcano erupted was around 1921, and it spewed for a year.

Just sayin'.

I have ordered my 13"MBP on Thursday morning. According to the representative, the MBP was ready to be shipped. Well, a few days later I still get

Not yet shipped
Estimated Shipping: 5 business days
Estimated Delivery: 23 Apr, 2010 - 26 Apr, 2010

Hopefully, it will be there by 23rd...

I doubt it, unless it is a stock model. Peopla have been complaining their MBP being stucked in China/Germany, including mine (I think)...

I am assuming you refer to this piece of news:
http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSLDE63H0KR20100418?type=marketsNews

That is the so-called test flight. They need 100 of sucessful flight to cancel the air-space ban. J/k. :D

No I'm referring to actual flights. KLM is operating freight flights before dawn, since their test flights concluded the air is safe.

Edit: on a side note, my base model 13" is now In Transit. It says it will be delivered tomorrow (19th), but I think that's VERY unlikely.

...the airlines *would* say that, wouldn't they. They are losing $200m/day

But the eruption continues as we speak.

Doesn't matter if the volcano continues to erupt, it is the fact that there is a lot of ash being blasted out. If the amount of ash being forced out drops, or if the pressure forcing the ash out drops, there won't be as big a cloud to affect Europe. Here's hoping..

this WOULD happen..

I ordered 2 13" macbook pros for me and my friend on Thursday. I prematurely put my current computer on eBay and someone wants it now. The computers are still in shanghai but the eta says 4/22. Well at good thing our neoprene sleeves arrived on Friday.. joy.

Anyways, I think its cool that this volcano erupted. I shows us humans that were not bosses like some of us think we are.

Where are you currently located? This would only happen if the ban is relaxed tomorrow. Otherwise, I think our MBP will arrive in England with the pirates in Somali water as quoted by BarnabyjcKent. :D

And it is NOT cool for the volcano erruption especially when my MBP is on its way here. Other than that, I don't give a damn!! :(

Hah right when I posted that comment I realized that this was a UK forum... But whatever lol, I'm from the US. I'm sorry to hear that some of you alls MBP's are traveling through Somali waters, good luck with that!
