This is what the EU gets for attacking American innovation, smarts and good business practices. Sue Microsoft, sue AAPL, how many European designed computers are for sale in the world? In fact what has the EU given anyone in the last 20 years. All they are good for is formulating rules on cheese, let them eat cake. I hope they have to wait until 2011 for an iPad.

This rustick needs a good kickin:cool:

I bet you are one of those lazy communist Europeans who thinks they have government supported health care.

I hope you get the hiccups so bad your ears get sucked into your brain.

You really shouldnt talk about healthcare
30 million of your own people cant get it
Yeah baby Gistum:cool:

Those are good self reliant patriotic American homeless people who are starving themselves to death while working three jobs so they can prove to the world how much better our system is than yours. Are your people willing to starve to death while working three jobs without health care?

I don't think you have any room to talk until you have a good percent of your population living in cardboard boxes. (Unfortunatly, many of our people are the lazy ones who don't pay property tax on their box.)

DICTIONARY

omg i just read the whole thread..and when reading my post i thought "what an idiot.." not realizing that it was my post!!

sorry for that.. i kinda was in a hurry + i'm not a native english speaker..

Oh..and its kinda interesting how shortage of ipad-supplies eventually lead to the holocaust..
(for those who dont get it read the earlier pages of this thread)

The iPad violates the EU standard for mobile communication because it has a too high SAR value.

That's why Apple isn't releasing it there yet. They first need to fix this. It has nothing todo with short supply.

It's an AMERICAN COMPANY, we get first dibs, deal with it. I'm still waiting for my 3g for crying out loud. Grow a spine!!!

It's not just US companies, though. Research in Motion is a Canadian company, and they've launched plenty of products in the US first, before they launched it in their home country of Canada.

Many international companies go after the US consumer first. Which, as a Canadian, is annoying. :)

As an American, I'd like to thank you guys for keeping the Tragically Hip to yourselves, but I wish you'd done the same with Celine Dion.

Ignore "European reviews" dissing the ipad they all miss the point. I am lucky enough to have US friends that sent me a 32 gb one. With vat, shipping and crap xrate with paypal I'd say cost was around £500 which I reckon is ok

no wifi issues and, funnily enough, I have now delayed mbp purchase since we've decided that the ipad is great fir mobile media consumption and doc creation/emails etc. The iMac at home is fine for working at home. However, I do need a laptop for when we go to USA for a month. So, mbp is a little over board for that use so maybe a £700 windows 7 laptop and save the £1k for v2 ipad 3g version.

So, the ipad has done apple out of a mbp sale but gained them an extra ipad sale.

Seriously, i too read all reviews of ipad but just knew it would suit our mobile requirements.... And I was right.

It's anger, folks. Even more so than envy or frustration. Anger that Apple can get away with limiting choices in a closed environment and end up rocking the tech world. Again.

Even here, this topic is hilarious. A bunch of new haters seem to have joined to dump on Apple for: selling too well??

The unreasoning incomprehension is hilarious.

Who goes out of their way to create a new account to ridicule something for being too successful.

I think "Dancing with the Stars" is lame. I guess I should find a "Dancing with stars" message board and troll it because it is successful.

What kind of person does this stuff?

People who get comfort from complaining.

LOL. Maybe if you left the bathroom occasionally, you would have seen articles like "Apple shrugs to iPad Wi-Fi problems," from the Register:

"Apple has admitted that its iPad isn't very good at Wi-Fi, and suggests that customers having problems move nearer to their hotspot to get a signal."

So your point is that you're foolish enough to believe anything the Register says?

Where did Apple say the iPad isn't good at WiFi? Apple said that a very small number of people have problems - and most of those are related to router configuration. How do you get from that fact to 'the iPad isn't very good at WiFi'?

Did it ever occur to you to try not to swallow all the apple-hating swill out there hook, line, and sinker?

stick to blackjack. the others are not my best work.
You better stick to that IP lawyer thing. The sales pitch...not so good.

Oh, yes. As I pointed out, nearly half the U.S., by population, are tools. If you fly from NY to California, nearly 70% of your time aloft is spent flying over what we call "tool country."
Hmm, most plane traffic goes over the south half?

We're told if we leave the country we have to pay to use the airplane bathrooms, so we'd rather stay here and enjoy our delicious chicken-ham-cheese sandwiches.

I'm coming to Florida for amonth in July. Please please tell me where I can buy one of those sandwiches. Of all states FL gotta sell 'em!

Apple announced this morning that due to strong sales of the Apple iPad, they have delayed international delivery for about a month.Apple reports that the high demand is responsible for the delay in international shipments. International delivery will take place at the end of May. Details and pre-orders will be announced on May 10th.

Article Link: Over 500,000 iPads Sold, Apple Delays International Delivery until May

This story does not tell us much really. Over 500K iPads sold? That's what they told us after two days of sales. Did they sell anything after that? High domestic demand? Who said it was all domestic? Those who visited eBay lately know that there are tons of iPads there and they all go overseas. Also, judging by all those messages on this forum which look like: "I am visiting New Your today. Where can I buy an iPad?" it appears that significant percentage may actually go abroad. I have not heard about any shortages of iPad in Minnesota.

Combined with [perceived] delay of iPad 3G we may actually be dealing with some manufacturing issues (which were also speculated before).

Silver lining

...on the upside, it gives Apple another month to get the wifi issues sorted , the iWorks integration recitified and the overheating battery problem solved. :)

and lets face it we've lived this long without an iPad, a few more weeks is not going to hurt. ;)

Oh, you mean I should believe the same Apple, which faked NYT web pages during the unveiling of the iPad, to hide the fact that it cannot show Flash content?

Or the Apple which was forced to pull its ads from the UK, because it was lying about the capabilities of the mobile browser on the iPhone?

Apple shills have very selective memories....

I bet you they are not shipping, because Apple is working out problems, before the more stringent EU smacks it down.
