And more than half of these people claiming to buy won't once the dates slip into end of Q1 2018, which they most certainly will. The website will say 6-8 weeks but they'll take even longer.

Of course...why does the 64GB model even exist on a phone that costs 1K?

With photos/videos on iOS 11 using more intense compression, HVEC Or whatever, 64 may be more like 128 assuming one has a light roster of apps (and a healthy amount of optimism)

I think 64 would be for me.

1149+tax is psychologically too much for me for a phone. It's not that I can't afford it, it's that I don't want to buy it

But I agree should have been 128 for the money. Absurd but typical apple bean counting

The real breakdown that I am interested in is how many of each they are gonna produce. This is pre release hype that has no bearing on what we can purchase.

iPhone 8 Plus 256GB Here.

I upgraded for the A11 + Camera Improvements + True Tone. That isn't listed in the survey. I'm not surprised to see AR/VR so low. It's a great new way to interface with technology but there is still a lot of work to do here for normal people to see the benefits.

In Italy that one will cost a lot: $1598 (€1359).

This quarter, Apple will benefit from skyrocketing Euro currency vs. old hiked prices that have not been lowered back yet.

"46 percent of a larger pool of 4,196 respondents said wireless charging is iPhone X's most attractive feature. "

Are these same people so stupid that they don't know but 8's are capable of wireless charging?

They were only asked what was attractive about the X. We don't know if they also ranked wireless charging high for other phones as well. I would think so, since a survey like this would list the features, not ask out of the blue.

Weird the iPhone X isn’t higher. You woulda though with Iphone 8 demand down it would be holding out for x.

Good catch. If the 8 isn't selling well with 37% saying they'll buy one, then this survey says the X will sell even less well with only 28% saying they'll buy one.

It'll be interesting to see what actually happens.

Look at this chart and shut up you 4" new phone people....it's not going to happen.

5% for 6s+ and 4% for 6s

3% for SE

we're talking about devices that are 2 years old, and in case of SE, 1.5 years crammed in a body that's 5 years old.

There is plenty more demand for 4" just not the current 4" model

65% of people want a 2017 model (8/8+/X combined)

12% is pretty paltry for 7 and 7+ equally and 24% combined, too

Not surprised that fewer people want even older devices In case of A9 devices

So much for those who dissed the attraction of wireless charging.
Well I for one am stunned that this is the biggest attraction amongst those polled. All the amazing technology in the iPhone X and these people are most impressed by a simple coil of wire!

Just wait until they see the reality of charging wirelessly versus using the fast-charging via cable and we'll see which they prefer...

Can't wait to pay $1500 for a phone! Doesn't matter if its still same internals as iPhone 8 plus, but we pay 700$ premium for face recognition and so-called super retina display.

Apple sure knows how to price gouge when it comes to pricing for storage. It's almost as bad as Disney World when you pay $12.00 for a cheeseburger with no drink and you pay it but you really don't want to.
