A slide by Manny would have been nice. Or at least try to put a hit on the catcher..
He probably didn't want to give them any more motivation to throw at him :p He was out by quite a bit. Great throw by the Gutierrez.

Lugo and Crisp are pretty much two automatic outs...

Yeah, they couldn't hit it if it was on a ****ing tee. This is why tito should at least give Ellsbury a shot.

ugh

then you have joe **** and tim mc****face talking about how it bounced.

if it hit the wall in the park, it would have bounced down. that's basic physics.

it hit right off the top edge of the wall, above the yellow line. that's a home run.

how can anyone be a Manny fan. Learn to run. I never could be a Red Sox fan until he is gone. Cut you hair and learn to run!!

stop being a whiney bitch. he's one of the best hitters of this generation. we wouldn't be here in the ALCS without him. we wouldn't have won the 2004 world series without him.

he's also one of the hardest and most passionate players on the team. he'll be there doing extra bp all of the time. (this is why i'm a fan of his anyways) he's ****ing dedicated. he loves to play the game. plus some of the stuff he does is great entertainment (like going to take a piss in the monster during a pitching change)

he does make a stupid play every once in a while, but he's a great player. he should have ran to second, but it didn't make a difference since lowell got out. and that ball was a home run.

easy...hes one of the best hitters in baseball.
how does cutting his hair have anything to do w/ him being nasty.
just another sad hater.

the ball came off pretty fast, he wouldve been thrown out @ 2nd....remember the 1st inning??

****ing double play

this is ridiculous

francona should have told lugo to go strike out. then at least we'd have a shot with pedroia.

what a waste of 2 on, 0 outs

No, he's not a great player, he is a great hitter. There is a huge difference.

For the record it was not a home run, it hit the line and came back.

the only way it can bounce back up is if it hits the top of the wall. that's basic physics. if the ball hits the side of the wall, it WILL bounce downwards. go try it

Watch the replay, the video doesn't lie.

Lets go over the ground rules of Jacobs Field. The padded part of the wall is in play, The yellow line is padded. Therefore the ball was not a home run.

you can't leave the bases loaded in the alcs...

nice job lugo ****ing that play up. that ball was going right to pedroia.

thank god for beckett

He's actually a great 'player' as well. He plays left in Fenway better than anybody, and is always near the top in outfield assists. But that shouldn't matter for a guy who can carry teams on his back.

Absolutely. He throws people out at home and even at second when he plays the ball off the Monster if they try to go for a double.

JACOBY IS IN THE GAME :D
