Packaged iPhone 5C Surfaces Again in Multiple Colors, Video Shows Powered-On Unit

My iPhone 5 now becomes overpriced and less desirable on open market because of the the 5C. Not fair!

No, Because I'm feeling the iPhone 5S or what ever they have up their sleeve is not going to have that larger screen as I want. That is the only thing I believe was wrong with the iPhone 5 last year. A four inch screen is not doing it for my big hands.
 
eh, I could see this being popular with the tween/teens and the parents getting the 5s...
now back to basics. mac updates? :confused:

All of this sorta kills the element of surprise. I'm still looking forward to the event. Hoping to get my hands on a ipad mini with retina. I'm pretty sure I'll have to wait til next year for this but it's the last thing to look forward to after all of these leaks.

I'm pretty sure there wouldn't be as many "leakages" if Apple built their products in the US. You don't see FORD or Mag Tools new products being leaked ;)
 
i guess its more an 5c than an 5s event. seems like they have nothing really new for the 5s... poor. steve would never have allowed this and safari...

actually, the newest gen iPod Touch line DOES have the fingerprint coating:

I like the white one. It looks like the "female" robot in Wall-E.

And it's even more minimalistic than the silver/white iPhone 5. And probably has better connectivity without the metal interference.

Plastic or metal or aluminum, its all the same to me.

I had the iphone 5, did not wear a case on it and the back scratched easily. Not complaining, but why does it matter if its aluminum or other "high quality" material if I'm to wear a case on it anyway?

I now have the galaxy note 2 which I have a modded otterbox case on with an extended battery that lasts me 5 times as long as the iphone. Yes the phone is built of plastic, but I wear a case because I'm able to modify my phone more.

There is no "background color" in iOS, there's a background photo that the user selects personally.

Unfortunately with Tim Cook at the helm, dreams are no longer feasible.
 
At some point, if this ever comes down to $200 level, does this officially indicate the end of ipod touch?

If this ever comes down to $200 level, I might just pick one up and get rid of iphone 4s(I will keep note 3 as my main phone however). Iphone still rocks in game department.

Consider that the pricing, on contract, starts at $199 for the 'flagship' model. And goes up $100 each storage step

That would make it
8GB 5C = $0/0.99
16GB 5C = $99
32GB 5C = $199
32GB 5S = $199

Also it's unlikely they would do a 128GB iPhone. At least for the moment. Maybe with the iPhone 6

There have been several rumours about a 128GB version so I think it will happen. They need it to justify the price of the top end model.

I think they will double the memory and reduce the price to try and increase sales and offset the carriers reducing their subsidies.

So off contract prices would be:

iPhone 5C 8GB $299 / 16GB $399 / 32GB $499

iPhone 5S 32GB $599 / 64GB $699 / 128GB $799

I think they may drop the iPhone 5, 4 and 4S with the iPhone 5C adopting the same internals as the current iPhone 5 leaving the iPhone 5S as the one with upgraded processor, etc.

Steve hates it when people assume they know what he would or would not have liked. The 5s will include far more improvements over the 5 than the 3gs had over the 3g.

With Jobs at the helm, the screen size went from 3.5" to 3.5".

If you really look at carrier subsidized price, it shouldn't be $399/$299. Subsidized amount is $450. If we're lucky, we may see $399 to start with no carrier subsidy at all. That way Apple can drive more people to its stores instead of the carriers.
My prediction is $449 unsubsidized for lowest option of iPhone 5c or free with contract.
