But, really...what's with the different packaging sizes? The blue and white ones have noticeably larger packaging than the yellow (and possibly red and green) ones. To me this suggests a difference in box contents, as I can't see any other reason for the difference. Surely the packaging will have been designed as compact and small as it can reasonably be, so the larger box must be intended to hold more stuff.

I wonder if the blue and white ones will ship with something extra (and if so, what?), or if Apple are omitting something from the yellow (and possibly red and green) ones to cut costs and price even further? Perhaps the latter will ship without a power adapter, for instance?

Curious.

Maybe different countries. I know the boxes have been different sizes for same phone in different countries before to accommodate for different sized chargers

I really hope this doesn't happen. It goes against the philopsphy Steve believed in and what Apple's products are based on. Second, notice how all of these leaks don't have FCC info. Don't you think they'd have FCC info, because they're supposed to? There's just so many loopholes in the rumors, not to mention Tim Cook and Phil Schiller both debunked these rumors. I guess we'll see on the 10th.

I don't think the idea is that bad at all. Apple is at the financial top-end of the market: you want an Apple product, you pay a premium for it. So, look at all the people who maybe can't afford a premium phone, but don't like the Galaxy's and Nokias etc etc: why not offer them something a little more affordable? Just because they can't afford a top end iPhone, does it mean they shouldn't have one at all? How is it any different from VW making a Golf GTi, but also making a standard Golf? Do you go in their showrooms and demand they make every Golf like a GTi? They have to cater for a big audience, so what's the problem? And why is there so much fuss over a finger print sensor? I'd rather not have it! More chance of my hand being sliced off if I'm mugged for my 5S!

Also, stop moaning about iOS 7 for crying out loud. 'I don't like the colours, it looks childish' blah blah blah. 'I moan about Apple not changing anything, then I moan when they change something'. It's called progression-if you don't like it, tough. What about all the people who have hated the whole skeuomorphism for so long? Or feel like iOS does need an update because it looks dated? Do we have to put up with it? If it didn't change we would; so on top of that, we'd have to listen to you all moaning about how the iOS didn't change or get updated either.

Plastic is a part of electronic and manufacturing life, change is also a part of life. It's a phone at the end of the day, suck it up and get on with it!

I would agree with this, but the leaked iPhone 5S screenshots show that that use white faceplates for the new gold iPhone. Since this is a more budget iPhone, I wouldn't expect any more functionality than a current iPhone 5. But, hey I hope you are right :D
To be clear, I do not expect a fingerprint sensor in the iPhone 5C. The newest flagship feature will always be exclusive for the iPhone Pro. At least for the first year.

But I also do not expect a fingerprint sensor to work proper if integrated within a white home button. I've seen leaked photos of black home buttons without the usual white rounded square printed on them. These are the ones I suspect to feature the fingerprint sensor.

White faceplate for gold iPhone 5S might be a fake with older iPhone 5 parts?

Im liking the blue one! As long as you can get 32GB i'm not fussed why do i need superfast processor in my device that i make phone calls, text, email and check twitter on? For the people who use there phone for a lot more the 5S is perfect but for me I think the 5C will do.

Really? Wow! You believe that! Man the people you know live truly truly shallow lives for them to think they are judged by the phones they have!

Do they wear big bling solid gold medallions too?

I personally do not care about looking expensive. I'll be sporting the yellow iphone 5c when it comes. But a lot people I know are that shallow.

Like it or not, Apple is a trend setter in the world of design.

Look for pastel (and champagne) colors to suddenly become fashionable and cool over the next few months/years.

Why are people here complaining about the lowest-end model iPhone that's probably mainly targeted for China...?

I always get the newest and top of the line, so I am sure I will get the 5S

I must say, however, that I like the look of the 5C. The plastic will most likely be high quality (anyone see the video of the guy trying to scratch the case?) and it will feel good in the hand. The black front is probably to cut costs. They only need one body and just change the back color.

I think Apple will sell a ton of these, whether here or more so in foreign countries that don't have the subsidies our phone companies have.

I love that nobody pointed out the changes in the icons. The Safari icon has no ticks on the outside and the needle is white and grey, plus the Music icon has a different gradient on it. Phone and Messages look darker.

Because its not. This phone is targeted at everyone, who buys their unsubsidized phones off contract. Think Europe!

My monthly phone bill is just around 1 or 2 euros. I pay 15 cents per minute for calls and nothing more for service. Most of the time I'm within range of my wifi anyway. It makes a huge difference to me, how much the lowest-end iPhone will cost, because that's like the only telecommunication expense, I plan to make for the next five years or so.

What's so unbelievable about this? Apple is cranking out devices at such a crazy rate, it was only a matter of time before they started chipping away at the low-end market. This makes sense to me.

At the first rumour i quite liked the colour phone idea. Now, not so much. Im not sure if its just having time to get used to them, and to now think its a bad idea, or if its just over saturation of photos/leaks.

If that screen didn't show iOS7 on it, I would've guessed it was some cheap windows phone. Don't know how some people are saying it looks good.

Dang, those phone cameras are getting too good that short of confiscating all phones including from those a bit higher in the foodchain, images from the production lines can't be kept secret anymore.

Did anyone else notice that, in the video, while he was in Safari the top and bottom bars are black/ dark gray, perhaps to match the black faceplate? Up until now all we have seen is the white theme for iOS 7 -- is it possible that this reflects a darker theme or option for users?
