And how much would you like that bet to be? I'll fade anything you suggest! :D

Fine, you have me. If there is a product, someone will buy it. But I'll be willing to bet that the iPhone 5C doesn't sell even 20% as many units as the iPhone 5S does. You may have the coins on my desk if I'm wrong. I think they add up to somewhere between $20 and $30... there's almost enough that I'm willing to dump them into a bag and take them with me next time I go shopping so I can Coinstar them...

The 5C is for North America, too. Apple has sold tons of iPhone 4 and 4S in the U.S. after iPhone 5 was released. Now they can discontinue the 4 series and consumers who don't want to spend $200+ on a new contracted phone or with tight budgets can buy 5C.

The 5C isn't really meant for North America. It's been discussed in length at how much phones cost in Europe and Asia compared to over here. Apple makes the choice to lose market share or gain it. Steve would have done the same, probably in his own manner but they need to offer a low cost alternative to keep driving the growth of iOS.

While I agree that the background colors in the images above don't look all that nice, iOS 7 is a beautiful, sophisticated, and modern OS. If you think otherwise, leave.

Though not entirely surprising, I'm a little bummed that they all have black faces, even the white one.

Not 100% that the white doesn't have a white face. In that pic, that is just the sticker/carboard that is over top of it in the shell.

Well I guess there is no more secrecy with Apple on the iPhone 5C or 5S. I guess I'm really going to put my immaculate conditioned iPhone 5 up on eBay and buy the Samsung Note 3. Kind of excited as it will be announced on Wednesday.

I think these cheaper phones will be for SE Asia only (esp China). Apple seems to be doing quite well in the West without any cheaper options in their model line-ups

That makes zero sense -- at least in the U.S. for the past year the iPhone 4 can be had for $0 on contract; the iPhone 4S for $99. Those models ate into the iPhone 5's sales this past year in fact. Shorter: less expensive iPhone models are more popular than the flagship.

If the 5C is real it will be sold in the U.S. guaranteed. Smartphones have become "must have" items for kids as young as 11. The 5C is the perfect phone because its low cost, colorful and doesn't have the stigma of being last year's phone.

Plenty of other demographics not living in SE Asia that the 5C would suit as well.

I have a feeling that iOS 7 will be the one that makes me walk the plank.

I've been using it cause my company has some internal apps and we want to have the whole activation lock etc.

I have had no real issues aside from the typical 'it's a beta' type stuff. I find that the colors aren't even that horrid since I'm not running it at full brightness all the time. I did turn off the motion cause I found it to be a tad annoying. Plus in an early beta it was draining the battery a bit. Never turned it back on and haven't missed it.

if it's significantly less than the iPhone 5S and has a 64GB option, i'll be hitting F5 at 2:30am on the announcement day

You are selling your iPhone and moving to Android because of supply chain leaks?

If Apple goes two sizes 16 and 32? With a 399 and 299 off contract price. 99 dollars and 99 cent with contract......they got themselves a monster.

5C would be more like 8 or maybe 8 and 16 with the 5S at 32 and 64.

And the 5c might not have an on contract price. Which wouldn't be so bad if it is truly a world phone. Like they have convinced all CDMA carriers to go sim based like Verizon did so you can switch carriers as much as you want with no issues. A $399 off contract phone like that would be awesome for many folks.

the ios 7 safari is black themed instead of white?

so many people are going to complain about a scuffgate, the plastic is going to be easier to scratch than aluminium.

Very exciting news for this college student. Can't afford a $650 phone off contract, so I can't wait for the iPhone 5C to come out! (Anything is better than my 3 year old Andriod phone!!) :D

how are these being leaked....so easily?

Who knows.

Then again until it is confirmed as a real product we don't know if this is a leak or a con game. Someone could be conning sites for money for info and trumping up all kinds of things. Remember China is the land of knockoffs so they have the tech and skill to put something like this together

I may have to, which would be a shame because I just started using an iPhone a few months ago. I really like the professional look of most of iOS 6. Some of the skeumorphism had to go, but iOS 7 took that way too far, and the color scheme of the icons reminds me if Windows XP.

Two things: 1)this is supposed to be a cheaper option and 2)if Apple could make a cheaper iPhone in an iPod touch like body who would buy the flagship model?

Buy it for your kids who lose stuff, break stuff so you don't want to shell out for the big expensive one but you are tired of them whining about getting your hand me down.

Especially now that Apple is doing in store trade ins. Sure the money isn't as good as something like gazelle but many folks won't care about going for all that fuss and it's enough money in some cases that you could trade in and get a phone 'for free'. Just for fun I had them quote my old 4s which is in near perfect condition. I was quoted $210. That's enough that i could buy a 5S (assuming they keep pricing the same scale) for a bit of sales tax and then if the 5C is offered on contract it might be just tax get that for 'my kid' and have spent perhaps $100 that day.

Or I could possibly buy a 5c off contract for myself for every little. Which might be fine for me since I barely do anything on my iphone anymore. It's all on my ipads

Is it just me or does the green phone look like its in different packaging than the others? The green phone packaging looks more like current iPod packaging.

It also doesn't have a home screen sticker. My guess is this phone is put into an iPod case just for show.

I'm pretty sure the consumer looking for the "cheaper" iPhone isn't gunning for the 64gb.

Actually, I would totally buy the 5C with 64 gb. I care more about having the storage to have more music on hand than I do about the latest features, fancy aluminum, etc. Especially if 64 gb 5C were like $200 with contract and the 64 gb 5S was $300-400. Even if it costs $200 its still a lot cheaper. I will never by another phone with only 32 gb. Drives me absolutely crazy!!!
