I tried Parallels 6 with my new 2010 iMac (lowest model). It runs very slowly in coherence mode. Did I set something up wrong? VMware 3 flies on machine.
Stopped using Windows altogether, still have VMWare 3 just incase. VMWare supports Mac OS X Server as a guest os, does Parallels support OS X Server ?
Having used both off and on for over two years I can honestly say that when Parallels works it is faster than VMware but when it fails it fails HARD.
I thought I lost my Boot Camp install a few months ago when Parallels went stoopid on me.
VMware is more stable, albeit slower... but it is now my virtual personal install of choice.

Lol does that really work? Can you keep switching between alternate emails? Or do they track it by IP address?
I had the same experience. The last version of Parallels that I used was 3.x. I bought the upgrade to 5 but could never get it to run my existing virtual machine, and I didn't want to go through the trouble of starting over again. So I switched to Fusion and it just worked.
I haven't benchmarked it in comparison to Parallels, but I don't care, since I don't do any gaming or other intensive work with it.
I had the first version of Parallels, which was a miserable experience. Then they charged full price to move to the second version (which really should have been the first, while the first should have been a free beta).
I learned my lesson. I no longer give my money to companies that treat their customers as beta-testers.
I bought it... try to run Linux as guest. It worn't install parallels tools for linux.
Umm...in the screenshot, it shows the e-mail address of the person it came from. You know, exactly the same as any other mail client.
If you do so and you are using an Exchange account on a domain, you can view additional information about that user (like AD info and things like who they are and what their job is--helpful at big organizations), and you can integrate Office Communicator with it so you can see their online/offline status and "IM" them about an e-mail.
Again, this is all if you use it. If not, I don't see how it's any different, and the AD integration is a nice thing, not a bad thing. There are many other things to complain about in Outlook (like who thought backstage view in Office 2010 was a good idea and who wrote the rendering engine), but this is not one of them.
Parallels ---> VMware for $10.00
Have Parallels 3, but can't use with Snow Leopard. Haven't needed it until now... But can someone convince me why I shouldn't go with VMware for $10? That's pretty attractive...
They dont work....posting a picture does not change that.
(Sadly, "web-based applications" to many government organizations means "written exclusively for IE 6.")
