What should I do.... Just sold my last phone on eBay. The buyer has a verified US address and positive feedback, but is in Nigeria. Shipping it to his brother in the US, with the verified address. Anyone been scammed like this? Ugh

I'll try swappa next.

I thought as long as you ship to a confirmed pay pal US address and do signature required you had pay pal seller protection?

Just wanted to post an update.
Ordered from apple using the add a line w/ UDP
estimated ship date was 11/10-11/17.
the 6+ 64gb arrived this week, finally had time to activate it on 11/6. Activated it through a home wifi connection with no problem at all. The new line never had any indication it was pending or created at all through the whole process on myverizon. Once I activated the phone however, it popped up on myverizon immediately with the correct number apple indicated I would have for that line.
Had issues porting a number in from another carrier online on myverizon, so I used the automated phone number (866-881-7165), the disclaimer says it takes 4-72 hours or something like that, but it literally took less than five minutes for the port to switch over.

I'd pass. Way to many moving parts and once you said Nigeria, I'm out. It's not worth the gamble. Shipping to the Buyer's confirmed address is zero protection against a credit card chargeback. I'd rather take the negative eBay feedback than get burned. There are other buyers.

Yeah. I refunded the payment. My gut reaction said to cancel, so I did.

You can preorder n6 at Motorola website. 64GB is gone though. Only 32GB.
Thanks, I only want a 64GB white one and I think I want to get it from the playstore although Motorola has good customer service to or at least they did when they were owned by Google.

Trying to get Unlimited

Hello,

I am trying to figure out if there is a way for me to get unlimited data with at the least cost possible.

I currently have iPhone 6 Plus and I am the Verizon promo plan $60/month with 2gb of data. I switched to Verizon from AT&T on the 22nd of September and got a subsidised iPhone 6 Plus with a 2-year contract. That is my story.

What would be my best option if I want to get unlimited data? I havent seen anyone that is in the same boat as me.

PS: If I knew about the UDP, I would have waited and never bothered with the Verizon promo plan ($60/month), but oh well...

I would say you really only have two options. Pay the ETF or try and find someone to take over the line. I don't think you could get any cheaper than that without causing to much of a headache.

Anything to Africa is a scam

I can AOE my Verizon promo line $60/month 2gb? What would happen with my number if I decide to go that route?

Do you use a lot of data? If not just stick with two gb and not have to worry about the trouble. If you use a lot data then you can pay eTF and get udp

Yes you can AOL that to someone. For your number you would have to port it out to pageplus or google. Then change the number on Verizons website. Dump the line. Port the number back to the unlimited account. But remember if you go this route, remove your phone from the account or you'll have trouble adding it to the unlimited line.

I think the cheap option is to switch and port your number to Tmobile or Sprint and they'll pay your ETF. Get one free UDP from anyone here ( for example, me ;) ). Since you already have Iphone 6+, you should be good.

Once you already get your ETF money from Sprint or Tmobile, port the number back to new Verizon UDP line.

btw, I had similar situation before but I decide to pay ETF but mine only 1 year left on contract.

to get the ETF from sprint or Tmobil, do they require a minimum amount of time you have to be with them? Or can you just sign up with them and get the ETF and move back to Verizon immediately?

I thought you also had to trade in your old device? I was going to suggest this but to get a cheap iphone 4s from ebay or swappa.

For T-mobile you have trade in a device, but it can be any device. A lot of people on the sd thread had success trading in cheap phones.

https://slickdeals.net/f/6579830-t-...-customers-early-termination-fees-in-2014?v=1

There's no official time that you need to stay with T-mobile but you need to remain an active customer until you receive the etf reimbursement, which could be a couple months.

whats the point of getting 4G LTE, UDP with Iphone 4s???

Its not for UDP, its so he can trade it in to T-Mobile. Cause for the early ETF pay off you have to trade in a device. I just assumed they would require a smartphone. But masup pointed out people having success trading in non smart phones.

So that could work. Get a UDP, and suspend it until T-Mobile pays ETF. Then drop T-Mobile. But it all depends on if he wants to go and waste that many months waiting.

Thanks for that number, very helpful. Porting via page plus was very quick. I did have to call them because they recently changed their system so you do have to buy service before they'll take the port, $10 is the minimum. I decided to let the old line go, it went away pretty quickly. Then called the automated number above and got it switched back to Verizon, also pretty quick.

FYI for Page Plus ports out, your account number is your phone number and your pin is the last four digits of your phone number. Took me a couple of tries to figure that out.

It doesn't work online through apple or verizon. You have to call.

I can add that when I tried to port numbers to Page Plus that it never worked from the web site. Both times I had to call in and give them the exact same info that I had entered on the web site. When the Page Plus CSR did it, the lines were almost immediately suspended on My Verizon account.

Hmmm, all this porting to/from Verizon doesn't work online. The common denominator is Verizon.
