I thought you also had to trade in your old device? I was going to suggest this but to get a cheap iphone 4s from ebay or swappa.

Thanks a lot for the info. I will be looking for someone to take my current line (Verizon $60/month) and after that will be getting a UDP line via AOL. I assume going this way will save me the ETF right?

Let me know the name of the person stupid enough to take your line when they could get that exact same deal from Verizon and receive a $150 bill credit as well as a subsidized phone. I have some penny stocks I need to unload and the person who takes your line would make a good victim, um I mean client.

I did have to call them because they recently changed their system so you do have to buy service before they'll take the port, $10 is the minimum. I decided to let the old line go, it went away pretty quickly. Then called the automated number above and got it switched back to Verizon, also pretty quick.

FYI for Page Plus ports out, your account number is your phone number and your pin is the last four digits of your phone number. Took me a couple of tries to figure that out. :eek:

I used the automated phone number (866-881-7165), the disclaimer says it takes 4-72 hours or something like that, but it literally took less than five minutes for the port to switch over.

How long after you ported to page plus did it take for your old Verizon line to not show up in your Verizon account? The line I ported out (which is working btw with pageplus) still shows on my Verizon account. It says it's suspended IIRC..

From what others have said as soon as you port back into Verizon the old line goes away.

Mine went away completely almost immediately. But if your phone is working on page plus you're good and can port back, which should make it go away.

Are you doing online pick up or are you just going in and doing the order in store?
Online p/u. I try to go in there looking like crap with no makeup on and my hair wet or not blow dried in the hopes I won't be noticed. Next I am going to try putting my hair up and wearing a really baggy shirt and glasses. If that doesn't work, then I am going in in full makeup, hair blown dry, tight shirt and heels to see if that will help confuse them, lol!

btw, you are creating a new contract, they even get paid a lot more compared to retail price customers.

I've been questioned a few times about what I am doing with all these iPhones and I haven't even done 10 yet!!!! Obviously none of you live in my town otherwise they wouldn't blink an eye at my measly 9 iPhones.

So still a no go. Had the sale go through online, went to store to pickup, got the review again. Rep calls them again, I speak to them confirm social, address etc. They say they're going to lift the hold and to give the phone back to the rep. Give back to the rep, he tries again to run through the activation. Again it doesn't work. Rep tells him it's going to take 24 hours to clear and that Verizon should be calling me tomorrow when it's off.

Anyone experience anything like this?

How long you have the account for? What number Apple CSR needs to call? If Verizon put your account on hold, nothing you can do.

My account is probably 10 years old. Possibly more to be honest. I'm not sure which number, I didn't get to see. She told me she was lifting the hold, so not sure what is going on at this point.
 
AOL Issues

Has anyone been experiencing AOL issues? I've had two buyers tell me that the rep told them they would lose UDP if they assumed the line. In both cases the buyer called a second time and was able to successfully take the line. I have been doing these several times a day for weeks now and this is the first time this has happened. Is this coming to an end?

No the reps are just morons. I've had so many issues recently, buyers yelling at me and everything else. Call during the day for slightly better chances of success.

My lines showed as suspended after being ported to pageplus. The first Verizon CSR told me they could not be removed until the end of my billing cycle when they would automatically drop off.

I called again asking if they could be deleted and mentioned that I heard that the CORe department could do it. I don't know if the second CSR called CORe or not, but the line got removed immediately.

I ported my number out to a T-mobile prepaid phone, which is able to send and receives both calls and texts. My number is still showing as suspended in My Verizon and I have verified with a rep that it won't drop off until the end of the billing cycle. I have tried to port my old number back into the UDP line, but each time I try I get an error through the automated system via the telephone number above. I input my prepaid account number and PIN in correctly, but still get the error.

Do not PM me about this. I will not respond.

1) Convert a line into a NationWide 450 min individual plan, payg text, UDP line; and
2) Call Verizon and ask that the minutes be switched to the $15/mo 30 Minute Loyalty Plan but that you want to keep UDP.

That's it. That is all you do.

Spent what felt like forever at the Apple Store. Picking up a 64gb space grey and the core analysis review popped up. Was on hold for about 30 minutes and they said there were 15 pending applications and that I would be on a hold for 24 hours. Went to the store an hour later and got the same pop up. They transferred me to a core supervisor who said blah blah you've been a customer since 2005 blah blah, sorry for the inconvenience and took the pending applications off. Took about 3 hours, but finally got a 64gb.

Not from what I have been told but I have never had one of these plans on my account for more than 1 year.

Yeah, those pending applications are for every time you tried to get the 64GB device and got the sorry message. They just need to clear those off.

I am really though. I am a rather prefer to be anonymous kind of person and the idea that the 20 somethings in the apple store recognize me is disconcerting to me, lol!

lol today the store reps said well I'd get you a bag but I see you already have one! Pick up phone in mall go to Starbucks order line 2 pick up then go to food court for pizza order line 3 pick up ok time to go home for today :)

I had 3 calls to Verizon today to get them to contact CORe and remove pendings, each time they said it was done but still couldn't order so called back and they start reading off the list of pending apps and I'm like why did you say you deleted them and yet you are reading them all off to me??? Tomorrow I'll be personally speaking to CORe supervisor and I'm gonna want screen shots of the cleared pendings lol

Nobody at the Apple Store including the manager had ever heard of CORe or pending apps etc they didn't believe Verizon would keep those

Verizon also told me every pending app is a ding on your internal Verizon credit which I think is Baloney as long as they remove them
