As I said that makes no sense. It is not a matter of how you see it. It is a matter of how much the different options cost.
Here is the math:
3 450 minute individual plans with UDPs no texts = $210/mo
1 700 minute family share plan with 3 UDPs and no texts = $190/mo
So you pay $20 more per month if you go with the 3 individual plans but of course you get 1350 minutes b/t the 3 lines vs. 700 with the family share.
However, if you move to the 1400 FS for $210/mo for 3 UDP lines, you get 1400 minutes AND 10 F&F.
When you have 2 or more lines, family share plans ALWAYS make sense over individual plans.
If you have the NW individual plans, will they switch you to the legacy family shared if you ask (sort of like the $15 plan that's not publicized)? It's a moot point for me since I sold my second individual VZW plan, and will stick with my dirt cheap AT&T off-contract UDP on my main phone for now, but should I decide on 11/14 to exploit the "glitch" one last time, would moving to the 700 minute shared plan for $150 be an option?
I'm not being entirely hypothetical. My parents are thinking of moving off Sprint, and if this "glitch" is still open I could conceivably see switching to a FS 1400 minute plan with 3 lines even if I can't formally transfer liability to them after Wednesday. I know where they live
My mom would certainly take an iPhone 5s (possibly the 6), and while my dad is an Android fan, I could buy a 6 and sell it for enough margin to buy a Moto X. If I can get $300 in credit for porting 2 Sprint numbers, all the better.
