yes you can. But if you search the thread, you can read the posts about what can happen if you don't activate the phone or remove the SIM card before you sell it.

3 per subaccount IIRC but no more than 10 lines total. So if you had all individual lines and no family share lines you could have 4 subacounts - 3 subaccounts having 3 individual lines each and 1 subaccount having 1 individual line.
That will be no problem. Most of us don't open the box in the store, and Apple does not make you.
Trying to understand which the more I read the more I get confused.
I have NW individual plan 450min and UDP.
If I add line thru apple with same NW individual plan, I can call Verizon and
they can change this to NW family plan?
If I want a 3rd line, I can add it thru Verizon but it would not have UDP?
If I want a 3rd line with UDP it have to be added thru Apple?
Thank you. It sounds like what jules is warning me about, though, is that this could potentially be a problem later. I'll have to do some searching and reading later but best I can surmise right now is either people are removing the SIM just before handing a phone over and/or activating a different phone over the new iPhone line takes care of the problem.

Actually I am not sure what would happen if you just activate another device on the line and then someone turns the new iPhone on with the SIM in it. Idk if activating another phone is enough to get rid of the pending equipment order.

Do you have unlimited texts? You need to drop those if you do to add a line.
Yes, they can merge the 2 lines into a NW FS plan. You just have to tell them how many minutes - 700, 1400 or 2000.
Yes, once you have a NW FS plan, verizon can add lines to it but they will have tiered data plan.

Thank you! That's what I needed to know. Basically, if *you* don't know what's going to happen, then I'm not going to risk it. I'll just open the box, turn on the iPhone and let it activate. That SIM will then stay with me when I get rid of the phone. Whoever gets the phone after me, whether I sell it or give it to them, will just have to deal with the fact that the seal was broken and it was only powered on.
No, Jules is right - it could pose an issue later on, I don't know that answer either. I thought you only meant walking out of the Apple store with an opened box.

I understand the confusion because I'm doing things a little differently by actually keeping the new UDP line, whereas I think the majority in this thread are trying to unload it. I just want to unload the phone so I can get myself something... better 🙂.
Just got a pickup notification. Have account managers (non-account owners) been able to pickup in store with an analyst review?
Here's a new one, changed to loyalty plan, authorized AOL. Person is on the phone and the rep is telling them it is a pre-paid account. Apparently been transferred three times and all saying the same thing. What the hell did they screw up this time?

i never had the problem with my parents account. i had problem with my own account when my license doesnt match the billing address.
My license still has my parents address on it.
No one spoke about activation fee..... Here's is what I found out today. Kinda late, but i still want to contribute.
1. pick up iphone 6+ 128
2. got extra blank sim cards (they were just handing them out, but he still scanned as part of my order - free though)
3. Today I have someone who wants the unlimited data on a sim, i thought it would be a good time to give it a try
4. call Verizon, told them i have an old iphone that I want to reactive on the account. Gave them the sim number, Vala. It works.
5. did get a message, welcome me to Verizon and thanked me to use my iphone 6+ via text (even though it is clearly a iphone 5 to me..)
Can you hear me now?
I think they still "activated" it, so I will get hit with Activation fee... but at least I got a sim without opening the box! yipeeee

I had a chat rep tell me that once about a 450 minute plan I wanted converted into the $15 loyalty plan. I just told them no, it was not and then they did the conversion.
I just switched my 15 day old UDP 450 minute plan to a 30 minute loyalty plan. It took 2 chat reps and about 30 minutes. Looking forward to my bill being only around $50 including taxes and still having unlimited data! Will be using hangouts app and GV for free texts and calls when I have a decent LTE signal. Will be using a mifi mhs291l for unlimited data on my macbook. Otherwise I have a flip phone on ATT for calls using the $2/day unlimited calling. This gives me unlimited calling one day a week for a year for $8 month (for the days when I call my mom). All told:
$15 verizon call plan
$30 verizon data plan
$8 att calling
free texts and calls on verizon using GV and hangouts.
=Total monthly around $55-$58 depending on verizon taxes.
This gives me a very rubust communication package. So grateful to the forum members for helping me out on this!

Apparently they can't find the number in the system? How in the hell did they manage to do that? I just put the SIM back in a phone. It connects, loads up account on Verizon, etc etc. I have no clue what they're doing to my poor customer.
I am getting rid all of them today, if i can. I dont want it to be the last minute and dealing with over-worked (last 48 hrs) CSR and any glitches that may happen at the last moment...... com'on! PUSH THROUGH! ARRRGGGGHHHHH

Well that is interesting - so maybe if you activate an unactivated SIM card in a different phone it clears the pending equipment order? If so, then I *think* you could sell the phone sealed. Idk though someone would have to try it first.

One quick question on plan changes in verizon. I have my nationwide 450 changes to 30 loyalty plan. The change will take affect on the 27th of this month. Is there a way to see this pending change in myverizon?
Google Voice and Hangouts works great for VoIP and text/mms over 4G/3G. It's what I use because I always have a great data signal. The $45 plan is perfect for this.
I just need to know if I can have a different bill/billing address for a different sub account because I might get a $45 plan for my parents for their home internet.
