Now that we are getting down to the end

Is everyone here an actual Vzw customer or just added Vzw to perform this?

I have had my verizon account for 10+ years. All the others have horrible coverage in my area.

I AOLed a UDP line so I could get rid of the ripoff More Everything plan.

I'm have been a Verizon customer for a few years. I have been helping people keep their UDP and still use their subsidized upgrades since Verizon first stopped us from doing that in June of 2012. I post on the Slick Deals thread now and wrote the bulk of the wiki with all of the various methods you can use depending on your line situation.

I'm with T-Mobile but as I've now got three UDP lines I'm dropping them for Verizon. I don't love giving Verizon my money, but between my corporate discount, splitting the bill with my fiancee who is already on Verizon, and unthrottled UDP with the best nationwide cell service (and with XLTE already active in many areas I go to), it doesn't make sense to stay on T-Mobile.

This sounds like a question only a vzw marketing/sales personnel would ask. Yeah, your company did real good reeling in boatloads of new customers by allowing this glitch to mature this long. Let's hope your network can handle all those udp spawns.

People are Such FTards!!!

So I convert 2 of my $45/mo UDP MHS plans into a 700 minute any mobile talk and text family share plan with UDP (which takes a sheetload of effort!!!) for this guy because he actually wants to put a phone on the lines and I explain to him all about the plan in texts and leave him voice messages telling me to call him back if he has any questions. I hold the lines for him until he can get phones, totally bend over backwards for him.

Then today he has the effing nerve to text me in disbelief that the lines aren't $45/mo!!!!!!!! FFS - the lines have unlimited any mobile minutes, unlimited texts, unlimited data and share 700 anytime minutes for $82.50/mo each which is the SCREAMING DEAL OF THE CENTURY IF YOU LIVE IN BUTT**** NOWHERE LIKE THIS GUY DOES NOW AND CAN'T GET ANY SIGNAL EXCEPT FROM VERIZON.

He was some older person and stupid - I should have told him no when I realized he was old and stupid but I felt bad for him since his company transferred him from NoCal to the middle of nowhere and the only signal he could get was Verizon.

I am done feeling sorry for stupid old people!!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I actually saw your name the other day & said why does that name look familiar & then I saw you in the SD thread lol. The community thanks you for your help!!

Verizon marketing lol I wish man. I really hate this company and the way they work right about now and I will get into my current situation with that being said.

So I tried to complete an AOL retaining a line and I get denied so fraud is called. They inform me I need good payment for 6 months and usage. I say well listen I am new and I got 1 line on my account and need another for me wife can you please make an exception. They said they cant do so and etc. I said I will be forced to leave then as I can't have one line with Verizon and 1 with Sprint.

I offer to pay for 6 months of service in advance if they could possibly just approve me for the last line needed for my account and they eventually say yes. So fraud notes that I shall be able to accept 1 last line and I try to do so. I get declined and now on the phone with them after they took my $650 in advance!!!

The Apple Store guy called and they said we had too many lines on the account and that was it. We never spoke to CORe. We have 3 UDP's on the main account and 2 on a sub.

That Apple guy did not know what he was talking about. I got 4 UDP on my account as of today. Had 2 prior and activated 2 today.

I need to change my unlimited text to 1,000 text so I can get the unlimited iPhone but I am over the 1000 text messages. If I change it, will I get charged for overages??

Yes you will but if you change it back to unlimited before the end of the billing cycle making it retroactive to the beginning of the billing cycle I believe it erases the overages.

Why would he if he had the unlimited texting at the time when he used those text messages?

I became a VZW customer by AOLing a line in. I have a grandfathered AT&T UDP, and hit the throttle limit a month or so ago. I'm out of contract, and have been considering options for a while now. VZW is a little more expensive than my ancient AT&T plan, but I liked the option of adding tethering to the VZW UDP.

I did create two new UDP lines to purchase subsidized iPhones, which I kept. I AOLed my original VZW line and the first one I created. I also sold the unlocked T-Mobile iPhone 6 that I had purchased on launch day.

Ok good point. So how it works or at least how I understand it to work is that if you have unlimited before you switch to 1000, no matter how many you have used before the switch it doesn't matter. What matters is the prorated amount you use while you have 1000. So lets say he is 2 weeks into his billing cycle and has used 1500 texts (who the hell texts that much, idk). When he switches to the 1000 texts he makes it effective as of the day of the switch so that the 1500 previous texts don't cause any overages.

But for the next 2 weeks he only gets 500 texts and if he goes over that, he will be charged overages. But if up to the last day of the billing cycle he switches back to the unlimited texts making it retroactive to the first day of the billing cycle he will be fine no matter how many he used.

Thank you. I'll give it a try.
See my more detailed explanation above.

leopardhead says you can sell the AT&T UDP.

No, no, no, no, no!!!! Do NOT pay for WiFi tethering!!!!!! Jailbreak your iPhone and use Tetherme or MyWi. Or just get a nexus, you know you want one.
