So my freakin' phone stopped working and I log online to check my accounts and ALL OF THE LINES ARE SUSPENDED!!!!!

It didn't take too long to get them unsuspended, I just needed to send them copies of my DL, SSN and utility bill, but when I got the fraud guy on the phone he asked me how many lines I wanted unsuspended and I said all 8 of them. So he says to me what about all of the other lines?:eek::eek::eek::eek: I said, well those were taken over by ATT and TMobile customers who are now new Verizon customers. He actually said to me "Great"! LOL!!!!!!!:cool::cool::cool::cool:

Tell her to call AOL - they made the mess they can clean it up!

Seems like they are checking all suspicious accounts. Lucky you!

I remember trying to put MiFi 5510L on my UDP line and it was not working. It asked me to register device with Verizon. I didn't proceed any further. After that I no longer could use the same SIM card in my phone. The SIM vas invalid. Luckily I had another new SIM and I simply had to activate that in order to get my phone service back. Does anybody have any explanation? I bought this MiFi on Ebay...so I don't know the history of this device. I simply returned MiFI and put that idea to rest. I used some older MiFi model 3G on the same line without any hiccups.

Verify if your mifi isn't possibly blacklisted.

Thanks!

if the device had a blacklisted ESN they might also shut off the SIM did you check the ESN and make sure it was clean?

is your account new(er) or have you been with Big Red for years?

also do you think they suspended all the lines you AOL'd as well?

I assumed liability from my mother recently but my original lines have been with Verizon for a few years. I have been paying the bills so I decided to just take over the account.

I hope not but all they have to do is email in copies of their DL, SSN and a utility bill to get them unsuspended.

No, I didn't check ESN. I remember the sellers listing said good ESN. I have no way on checking it now. I read before I purchased that MiFi 5510L should work...

I would buy a JetPack MHS291L or MHS291LVW (same device slightly different name) and check the ESN before you activate. Make sure your 4G LTE SIM is active in a smartphone before you swap to the JetPack (assuming you have a smartphone plan)

I know I only did 12! I guess since I recently assumed liability that has something to do with it but damn am I glad I did because my mom's getting older and if something happened to her I don't know if they would let me AOL the UDP lines now.

Go get her to sign a durable power of attorney for you so you can help her handle matters in the future. It really came in handy for me

Thanks, yeah I already have POA and am the co-trustee of her revocable trust and all of her assets are in the name of the trust.

But none of that could force Verizon to let me keep the UDP lines. I am glad I acted when I did to take the account b/c if I had waited much longer or hadn't been reading the phone forums, I would have missed the opportunity to AOL the UDP lines.

Can we still add udp through apple.com?

So I tried taking over a line from one of the members here. Talk to a friendly Verizon rep. She had no idea what today was, kept blaming her computer for not working. Was on hold for a few minutes came back told me I had to call the Fruad dept. Which is what I've been doing in order to get my last couple of iPhone. I asked about the udp and she said that it will get transferred , nothing in the system said otherwise. She was only consered that I was going into a 2 year contract. So it sounds like it should still work. Call center was Georgia.

I heard that If you download verizon message app you could text free between Verizon customers?

Does work

I only have four lines on my account but for some reasons it says I am maxed out and won't allow me to add anymore.

5 lines is the max I've ever heard anyone have (and the technical limit from what I've heard) I was only ever able to get 4 in one account

Time to create a sub account with a UDP line and start a new factory :)

I've got one extra line that I was able to add today through apple.com. I chickened out adding another line. ;)

I'm going to try to give this one away on slickdeals.net, then replace it at Apple.com again.

Wish me luck!

So how does one guarantee they get the Georgia call center?

Keep calling, shoot the **** with the rep, and ask how their day is / where they're located?

Why is that? Now that I was suspended am I going to have to call the fraud department to get any more new UDP lines from apple.com?
