One of Jules favorite.
Yes if you paid and just didn't pick up, probably will work.
Ya know Marky was complaining about my post count but if you went and looked at my posts on SDs, I bet half are either me saying "read the wiki" or "thanks for reporting back, awesome, do you have a pending activation on the line", lol!!

On this thread I tend to be a bit more substantive. I could have posted RTFT a lot more often but I am too nice.

----------

We figure out if we buy the one saved in my cart? Has anyone got this to activate in store?
Didn't someone's friend try that and they were going to have to call VAT to get it activated?

I ported a line out but its still showing suspended on my account. I did call Verizon and have them cancel it completely but its still showing. Hopefully they will let me add the line

If you have 5 lines on your FS including the "cancelled" line that is still showing on your account, it will not work. You need someone at Verizon to call CORe to push the line off of your account. Keep calling until you get a rep that will do it.

Someone else had this issue and I think they were able to get the suspended line either put in a subaccount or pushed off by CORe.

Thanks the reps assured me when I called earlier I'd have no problems. This was not the case. It would not activate at the store so i told them I'd come back. It did however shoe unlimited data when it did tryto activate.

Checking back in, I sure am glad I picked up two extra UDP lines before they stopped offering the new line option on Apple.com. Now I may have to consider buying a used mifi, although my iPad does do mobile hotspot already.

Just got off the phone with a very competent agent, tried to Aol a plan and keep the udp, with no success multiple times.

She said that verizon is aware of how valuable these are, and are working on a promotion to have unlimited data for a certain period of time (like 1 year) with a new 2 year contract, etc.

She specifically mentioned this because according to her, the computer was actually not allowing any unlimited data transfer, period.
each time she tried to force it, it went to the 2gb plan. She said that this is an extremely new change, and the computer usually let you force it through, but they had a software update to coincide with this new promotion.

The old unlimited customers (read, current unlimited) will be allowed to keep theirs, but the system was changed such that any change of account on the plan will auto trigger to switch to a ME tiered data plan.

Again, this internal computer change was due to the pending promotion, since it's udp will be a different code in the system.

Wether true or not, I think it's pretty interesting. If Verizon truly sees the influx of customers from this event / Trying to best T-Mobile's offer, it's pretty amazing to watch market forces at work so quickly. Verizon wants, at the end of the day, contractual customers, nothing else. This is due to Wall Street, earnings, etc if verizon can get more customers by offering unlimited data for x period of time, then why not?

Most interesting post I've seen in the past few days!

I doubt Big Red would throw an Unlimited Data Plan out there knowing their networks are beginning to be flooded with many new customers and current clouding it as it is. But if XLTE can handle it that would make Verizon even bigger than what it is now!!

Mark my words, we will see unlimited come back in the next 10 years
