Part II - UDP For Life

I went to p/u my 2nd device today and after the guy scan activated the line, he looked at me and said, I need to call Verizon

My heart jumped into my throat and the voices in my head were screaming "CANCEL, CANCEL, CANCEL, RUN OUT THE DOOR NOW, GET OUT!!!!!!!" I tried to compose myself and looked the apple rep right in the eye and said "Is this about the deposit, b/c I can pay it if it is" as I waved my Platinum AMEX in front of his face. He looked at his easy pay thing and said it was an Analyst Review.

I couldn't remember what that meant and I was about to scream CANCEL when the apple rep said he needed a floater phone to call Verizon and he took off with the iPhone. I started to make my way toward the door but there were too many people b/t me and the door and I couldn't get there b/f he was back with the floater phone and calling Verizon. He said ma'am I'm back here and I need the last 4 of your SSN. At this point there were these really old people blocking my gettaway and they couldn't hear me saying, excuse me, excuse me b/c apparently they forgot their hearing aids!!!! I was afraid to push them aside b/c they had canes and I was worried if I did they might fall over and break their hips and I would get arrested. So I turned around and gave him my last 4 of my SSN.

He had what seemed like a 15 minute conversation with the Verizon rep, but when all was said and done, I walked out of the apple store with my brand spankin' new 16GB iP6 and with my UDP intact!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm just looking for a place to unload my unlimited data and I hope that I can find a location to do it because I have already sold the phone. Whoops... Probably should have gotten rid of the line first. Oh well, hopefully someone will take it.

Yeah I suggest you keep the phone until you can unload the udp AND the transfer went smoothly, meaning udp is intact after the transfer. Without the phone it would get really complicated. Currently the udp sells for anywhere from .99 to 50 on ebay. And now that everyone and their grandmother has an udp, it won't be long before people pay others to take their udp haha.

Just got the first bill since doing this. We unloaded 10 phones, kept 2. We weren't charged a single $35 activation fee. Is this normal?

Congrats you got lucky. All my lines had the activation fees. My bill came out to like almost $600.

Glad you were able to get the phone. But the stress your body endured maybe have cost a couple months of your life. Unless you like that kind of excitement lol. Anyways it was fun while I was doing it but then I realize I make more during my day job so decided to get back to doing that instead

I sold both for around retail. iP6's but kept the iP6+ for now to see whether my mom wants that or the regular iP6.

They are - I was going to get my relatives on ATT the Verizon devices b/c when their contracts are up, they could take some of these UDP lines off of my hands and switch to Verizon. But then Marky told me the GSM unlocked iPs work on Verizon so I was thinking about buying those for them full retail instead with my profits.

If the other account has a ME plan, then the UDP goes away. But if it has a NW plan, then no.

Good job not taking out the blue hairs. It would suck to be stuck paying for new hip joints instead of your iPhone
