It's not me who has to call, it is the Apple rep who calls the Verizon's Activation Team. I have never read about anyone walking out of the store with UDP intact once the VAT is called by the Apple rep.

I've had Verizon rep activated a UDP line when Apple called them. Of course there are more cases where the Verizon rep did take away the UDP line so I can understand you being cautious.

so :apple: has been cancelling my order quietly. Gift Card works better ?

Y u r so afraid for :apple: to call Verizon ? I had them to call few times to Verizon Account Review and so far everything is ok.

you just dont know what they will write on their little screen about you. the more you call, the more you will be in the system.

But did you have them assign a number to the line? And was it the VAT? Credit or fraud calls are OK b/c all they want there is to verify that the apple rep checked your ID and they ask for your last 4.

Create a new sub account and change your individual into a family plan

How much do the legacy Nationwide Family Share 700 and 1400 plans cost (plus the related texting plans)? Verizon's website doesn't have the information since they don't sell them anymore.

Also, for someone like me who just AOLed into a Nationwide 450 with UDP, how difficult is it to get the CSRs to change it to a Nationwide Family Share (and NOT the More Everything)? It doesn't seem possible to do it online (I can choose only from the 450, 900, and unlimited individual minutes plans). Can the chat reps do it?

I'm trying to see if it would make sense for a relative to get in before the window closes. He is currently on a 6GB More Everything plan with 2 phones and an iPad and is paying $80 (ME) + $40 (Phone 1) +$40 (Phone 2) +$10 (iPad) or $170 before taxes and discounts. Figure a $30 data plan from T-Mobile or Sprint would be sufficient for the iPad (or the $30 tethering option on the phone). So would he be able to get a shared phone line with 2 UDPs for less than $140?

It's been posted here several times as images, but you can just search verizon nationwide in google and click images to find them.

My Nationwide 700 breaks down like this
$50/month for 700 minutes - $10/line to share these minutes for each additional phone
$29.99/month Unlimited Data for each line
$5/month 250 texts each line (this is the lowest text option)

Images don't show up in MR searches (the first thing I did was search the word "family"). I'll check out Google.

It's not difficult to get them to do it but you can't do it yourself online. You may get a rep that starts poking around in your account or wants to know why you want to do this. I just hangup when they start getting too nosy.

really? then what do you do with text? can you add it later?

you can't add the $5 250 text option later. You can get it when you add a line that is it.

that sucks. so you'll be stuck without any texting option other than payg?

Yes a number was assigned. This was when I was having activation issues with a ship to home order. The Apple store employee was able to get the line activated but not the phone. I'm not sure what dept it was but I would assume it was the VAT.

No, you can do $10 for 1000 or $20 for UL if individual or $30 if FS. Just not $5 for 250.

Why is mine $50 for 700 minutes?
B/c you are not including the $10 line access fee for 2 lines.

In the chart, $70 is for 2 lines to share 700 minutes and the $70 includes the $10 line access fees.

Then you were very lucky. I have already returned a phone due to a rep removing UDP when they moved the line into my main account and I don't want to have to return another one.
