not sure why not? but i've never moved a single line. I've always start my sub with two lines. preferably two udp lines....;);)

that sucks. so you'll be stuck without any texting option other than payg?

You can add texting, but not the $5 plan. It's the same with the individual plans. You can add a $5 250 text plan when you open a line, but later on, the only options are $10 for 1000 and $20 for unlimited.

Part II - UDP For Life

Nexus 6 looks very nice! Already ordered a 6+ and it looks like I'll be ordering the N6, as well. Even better with unlimited data :)

Ha, you are absolutely right on that Jules! I already miss it bc I had to get a 5s replacement and lost my jailbreak. Plus, who likes that $30 charge on top of everything else.

Fortunately we don't have very long to wait before the ios 8.x jailbreak.

Quick question, is there a preferred method to activate the add a line UDP from Apple. It will arrive Thursday when it was not suppose to arrive until Nov 6-13th. I saw previous posters thinking this early arrival date posed issues during activation? Also, should I just have my niece turn the phone on and try to activate that way, or through itunes? I really hope she doesn't run into any problems.

Not to get this thread off topic, but who in their right mind would use XMBC without a VPN??

The only way a VPN would be helpful is if you log into a VPN that is immune to service of process from the US - so in a country which doesn't have a treaty allowing foreign service of process with the US.

Has anyone encountered an error during a pickup instore order that your line was not eligible for the subsidized pricing? I don't know if the error came up because I placed 2 orders at one time. One using my main account and the other using the sub account. Is that the reason for the failure?

Pretty sure Jules ran into this same issue before. Check her post history.

The error I got when I ordered 2 new lines at once was halted b/c credit application canceled.

IIRC there is some issue if you took the OTA to 8.01 though.

I was lucky to avoid that fiasco. I was still on 7.1.2 with a jailbreak then. I usually avoid OTA and download the full ipsw file and restore. That seems to be the most error free way to go and for anyone reading that isn't up to date, I advise reading thoroughly before messing with the jailbreak in its current state.

I just don't get it why people would do OTA software update if they jailbreak or root their phone.

Did anyone get charged for that new line despite activating then suspending immediately?

Is it safe for me to call Verizon to dispute this or no?

Do not call Verizon to dispute that unless you want to risk loosing your UDP.

What in the world? How are you going to complain about the activation fees? Are you seriously thinking about disputing them? Wow :eek::eek:
