Same issue here. Have a max of 3 lines. AOL'd 2 of them, but Apple still says I've reached my max. Called Verizon and they said nothing was wrong. They even offered to add lines.

I'm in the same boat. Anyone dealt with this successfully?

I've already created a couple of sub-accounts, but each one only gets up to 2-3 lines before I hit this error. Are AOL'd lines not falling off or something? Is there a way to accelerate it?

We just posted last night what you need to do.

There are no credit checks at all with the credit bureaus if you are an existing Verizon customer.

When you started with Verizon they did a hard pull credit check and approved you for up to 10 lines. Each time you add a line, Apple is querying Verizon's internal credit database but that is it. Verizon's internal database only has info on the number of lines you are pre-approved for and your payment history with Verizon. If you are being denied adding new lines, pay off your balance and make sure you do not pay late.

People AOLing lines who are not current Verizon customers are having hard pulls done.

Guess the rep that I was talking was one of the uneducated reps again
I seem to be running into quite a few of these lately.

Ok does anyone have anything written up that they post/send/say when trying to get rid of these UDP lines. I'm so tired of answering the same questions lol. I could never sell cell phones in a store I think I'd go crazy.

The other day I was looking at the UDP market on fleabay (eBay) & some of the postings had good write ups in the ad descriptions. They seem to cover the instructions & most common questions well.

So if someone is on EDGE OR HAS A SHARE EVERYTHING PLAN what is the best way to go about getting a UDP line as well ?? Sub account or is it just not possible???

pull from your ebay listing? dont you have most of that ready/written somewhere?
you can also edit your first post as pubic service. ;)

1. pay up
2. i call VW with your name/phone number/whether you're verizon customer or not
3. i let you know the phone number you're taking over
4. you call verizon take over the line

-anticipated problems.
1. you have ME plan --> Create a subaccount, move UDP line into that. Combine in a day or two
2. you want to move your phone number to UDP line ---> beg the CSR, some will let you right on spot. port out to pp or gv, port back in a few day. can take up to 10 days
3. you have social anxiety, and cannot participate in any sort of social engineering tasks. pay me X amount of money, your ss#, address, birthday mother's maiden name, secrete password, first born's name, I will get this done for you.

see FAQ #1. (I think)
I moved two of my lines to my parents account. (2 basic line, 1 udp line). VW can't for whatever reason. Had to create a sub account on their account, by the way someone ask what happen if you move all lines out of a subaccount? apparently it stays on your record for a while. I know because after I combined the two UDP lines into the main account, VW still calls it sub account #3.

We just posted last night what you need to do.

Not really.

The stuff from last night was saying "create a new sub account" and "change your individual into a family plan". Both of those will be band-aids that can help a little bit.

But realistically, I'm trying to figure out why I can't add a new line on apple.com when I only have 1 line on the account (or 2 or 3). "Maximum lines reached" keeps coming up before I can even enter CC or apple ID info.

Any thoughts?

So I got hold of a UDP and currently on the phone with verizon transferring AOL on a UDP line.

I basically told the rep that I want to add the new UDP line to my account and terminate my current line while transferring my current number to the new UDP line.

The rep said she can do all that while garuanteeing I keep the unlimited data with any nationwide single plan I choose instantly without having to port my number or anything because she can call department that will reserve my number.

Anybody know anything about this?

Scratch that, she said she was unable to do that so I would have to port my current number to say page plus, terminate my current line and port it back in to my new UDP line. Is that the best way? How many days would I be down without my number for?

Acquire the unlimited line, and get it on your account. Do nothing more with that rep.
Once you have the new AOL UDP, port the number from your old line to page plus. This will cancel that line, but your account will remain intact because you just acquired a line through AOL. Porting to page plus will not take very much time at all. Once that is completed, you can port it back into your new UDP line. Should be same day.

You're very lucky the rep didn't go ahead and port your number anyway causing you to lose your new UDP.

That's exactly what ended up happening. She added the UDP line to my account. Nothing more. Checked my account online and I have 2 lines now, my current line and the new UDP line.

I just ported my current number to pageplus and waiting for it to complete. Once complete, then I will just goto my account and port it back to my new UDP line and change the plan to a nationwide 450 + text.

Do I have to program my phone with pageplus once the port is complete or can I just port it back to verizon right away?

Create a new sub account and change your individual into a family plan.

Follow Up on Placing 2 Successive Orders

So at the end of last week I was able to add 2 lines at once through the Apple Store and I went to pick them up the next day. The first one activated fine but the second one was halted b/c the credit application was canceled.

I called Verizon and they said there was no problem with my account and couldn't understand it. Went to pick it up again today and same thing. The apple rep called Verizon's Core department and they removed the halt from my account but told rep he needed to call Verizon's activation team to get the phone number assigned to the line. I said cancel the order.

So the moral of this story is that even if you can get 2 successive orders in, you aren't going to be able to activate them without involving Verizon. Could it have been fine to involve Verizon to get the phone number assigned? Maybe or maybe not but I wasn't risking it.

I'm not sure, but I may have read that some others have ported it back without having to activate a phone on Page Plus. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will chime in.

so :apple: has been cancelling my order quietly. Gift Card works better ?

Y u r so afraid for :apple: to call Verizon ? I had them to call few times to Verizon Account Review and so far everything is ok.

It's not me who has to call, it is the Apple rep who calls the Verizon's Activation Team. I have never read about anyone walking out of the store with UDP intact once the VAT is called by the Apple rep.

Few times Apple had to call on my pickup & store orders. So far so good.
