Thanks. I might try working on getting 2 verizon phones and pickup a couple cheap lines on eBay to park. What is the longest time you can park a line for. I think a buddy said 12 months but not too sure about that.
180 days then you have to pay for another 180 days b/f you can suspend w/o billing again.

What I am not clear on is if you have the full 180 days when you AOL a line when it has been suspended w/o billing by the previous owner or if that time counts against the time you can suspend w/o billing after an AOL. I only asked once and the rep I asked said it did count against the time.

My wonderful eBay friend. Should I give a refund or no? I honestly want to find this person and beat some sense into them. They called regular CS, against me telling them, and REFUSED to try calling again.

I specifically stated in my email to you that if you had a grandfathered unlimited data plan combined with a talk and text plan that came to no more than $70.00 per month, then I will buy that line from you. You assured me in your response that this contract had, in fact, the very terms I had asked for and based on this I agreed to purchase the line. I even asked you a second time, prior to paying you, if this had the contract terms I had asked for. Again you reassured me that it did. Based upon your assurance I purchased your line only to discover it had a talk and text plan of 700 minutes at a price range much higher per month than the amount I could afford. It is at this juncture where I hold you responsible. Had the contract been under the terms you had assured me of, there wouldn't have been any problem today accepting the AOL transfer. The problem is not with Verizon. It's with you. You knew the terms of the contract were not what I had asked for yet you said nothing to me about this. You assumed that Verizon would act as it always had but that didn't happen. Your misrepresentation is why I am asking for a full refund from you. I will contact Ebay tomorrow to begin this process.

Refund & block them. They're not worth your time or energy. Before I gave up on eBay, I stated in my ad that they had a couple of hours. Those that didn't reply or didn't have things in order were refunded and blocked from buying anything from me in the future. I had people that wanted to put the UDP line on a mifi, tablets, etc, and those who wouldn't respond at all to messages.

Is istocknow not working? Haven't seen any plus listed on the site for the past few days.
It's working.

Take the line back. In the future if someone wants a particular plan, change the line into that plan BEFORE you AOL the line to them. I just did this - I changed the plan into a 450, payg text with UDP and then AOLed the line, which is $69.98/mo. Don't make these numbskulls do it themselves.

You also could take the line back, change it into the plan the guy wants and then list it on ebay and see if he buys it again.

I believe you can put a tablet on a UDP phone line without violating Verizon rules you just have to pay for the minutes and the texts regardless. Idk if you are allowed to use a mifi on a UDP phone line or not but I would have to read up on the block C license restrictions to know if they could do anything about it or not.

You actually sold a udp? I'm having a tough time giving them away

Change one into 450 minute, payg texts with UDP for $70/mo and see if that helps. If you have a family share plan and AOL the lines without doing that first, the recipient is getting a single line family share plan with 700 minutes and UDP, which is $90/mo if it has payg texts and $120/mo if you have UL texts.

We know people can change the minutes and texts but they may not know or worse, get a dumbass rep on the phone who will say they will lose UDP if they do that.

Each account and subaccount can have 1 family share plan and at least 1 individual plan (maybe more individual plans but you would have to ask about that) in it for a total of no more than 10 lines in your name. I believe if you do not have a family share plan in an account/subaccount you can have up to 3 individual plans in an account/subaccount but don't quote me on that.

But if you suspend a line prior to AOL the recipient won't get what you have but instead can choose 450 himself correct??

It doesn't have to be suspended to do that - the recipient can change their minutes and texts at any time. The problem is that, as with jdougal's customer, they may get a dumbass verizon rep on the phone who will tell them they can't do that w/o losing udp and then they want you to take the line back. Just change it to what they want b/f you AOL the line.

And i don't believe you can change a line from a family share plan to an individual plan yourself, please correct me if I am wrong, I believe you have to have a rep do that.

The other thing to point out to people is that for $120/mo they can have UL talk, text and data on an individual plan and if they are willing to jailbreak, buy PDANet or root, they can get free MHS too. For $120/mo on a ME plan they would only get 4GB of data but of course they would keep subsidized upgrades. Now we all know you can keep subsidized upgrades for your UDP line if you read the SDs thread but the average person is not going to go to that trouble to upgrade using one of those methods.

Or if they don't need all of those minutes or texts, they can go as low as $70/mo for UDP on the most reliable network in the country with the best coverage.

For a moment there I thought a Verizon sales rep was speaking .

All depends on how much you want this line out of your life. I had done a few, one of them was smooth as butter. The guy paid, didn't hear from again, line just gone. The other required hand holding. Another somehow port his number onto the new udp line (I still trying to figure out how he did it). Just luck of your drawl I think.

The only way you can change it to an individual line yourself prior to aoling is if you have less than 10 lines on your account and eligible to have an individual line on the same account as a family share plan in which case is 4 shared lines and one undividual line correct? What I'm saying is once you suspend the line the person HAS TO change to something other what you have already. I've had major luck with reps putting a recipient on 450 without any pushback by doing this.

But really, isn't that what we are, lol!

I don't doubt at this point we know more about udp line than some of them ever will.

Can't you unsuspend make individual line right before you aol? Then send it?

So I ordered a new UDP line from apple with a 6+ for home delivery, still waiting for the phone which is supposed to be delivered Thursday. But I get an email from Verizon this morning that says they've added the new line. I go to myVerizon to check and it's got 2GB data, not the UDP I ordered.

Am I the only one this has happened to?

No.

First, you can't have more than 10 lines total in your name no matter what. So you will never find yourself in that situation, won't happen.

Second, these are the rules as I understand them:

1) No more than 1 NW family share plan per account/subaccount;
2) You can have at least 1 NW individual plan per account/subaccount along with a NW family share plan; and
3) If there is no family share plan in an account/subaccount, you can have no more than 3 NW individual plans per account/subaccount.

wrt #2 you may be able to have more than 1 NW individual plan, idk you would need to ask

wrt #3 you would need to call and confirm that I am correct about that

What I'm saying is once you suspend the line the person HAS TO change to something other what you have already.
No not at all. Why do you think that?

OMG. That is what I JUST SAID!!! I said the person would have 4 lines on a shared plan AND one line on an individual plan!!!! Equals 5 for one account and the same for a subaccount!!

And I think that because every time different reps said the same thing to different recipients. That they couldn't select my 700 min plan. They HAD TO change to something different which in every case worked out because my customers are primarily new customers who are looking for 450 individual plans. ..........

Someone needs major coffee or something smh.

Dude you are totally confused and your writing style sucks, lol!

You can have at least 6 lines per account/subaccount - 5 lines in a family share plan and at least 1 individual plan. So no you are wrong, you are not limited to 5 lines per account/subaccount. However, you cannot have more than 10 lines total in your name. So you could have this for instance:

Main Account - 5 FS lines + 1 individual line
Subaccount - 4 FS lines

And I think that because every time different reps said the same thing to different recipients. That they couldn't select my 700 min plan. They HAD TO change to something different which in every case worked out because my customers are primarily new customers who are looking for 450 individual plans.
I have AOLed 3 lines so far and none were told they had to change and in fact they didn't change. You need to tell your buyer to tell the rep that they want to AOL the line exactly as is no changes and they will do it.

They ABSOLUTELY CAN AOL a line as a single line family share plan if that is what they want. They then can add UDP lines to that plan themselves via apple.com.

Clearly English is not your first language or if it is, you went to the public schools, lol!
