Please elaborate. I use mine for my iPad and don't need the phone part. Is this the loyalty plan? Any tricks needed to switch to it?
If the line is a 450 minute, pay as you go text NationWide individual plan with UDP, you simply call and ask that the minutes be switched to the $15 30 minute loyalty plan.

So first you have to have an individual line like that, although I am sure it would work with the 900 minute or unlimited minute individual NW plan too, as long as the plans have pay as you go texts.

I am not going to answer this question repeatedly any more. I posted how I did several times complete with a screen shot. People need to RTFT.

Too bad there is no FAQ for this thread at the beginning.

I know I read that someone had an authorized user on their Verizon account pick up the phone(s) at the Apple Store. The Apple T&C state that for a new line on an existing account that only the primary account holder can pick up the order.

Has anyone had an issue with an authorized user picking up the phone ?
There is no stock anywhere near me.

Have the rest of you had good luck with using chat instead of 611? Last time I called, the rep started doing an account analysis and asking all kinds of questions so I hung up on her. I couldn't get a phone activated and we were waiting for it to power down and then up again and she kept reviewing my account and noticing how many phones I had ordered so I had to cut her off.

Just wondering if chat reps can do all the same things that phone reps can?

I've had no issues with a authorized user picking the phone up. Not sure the apple employees could tell if it's a new line or upgrade. They just see the authorized users name and haven't had any push back. I've been reading this thread again and feel extremely lucky I've found a business to offload the lines and phones. Sucks that it's getting hard for people to offload those lines. As for me if this keeps going I'll be able to do the remodel of my house!

I don't know exactly what the reps on chat can & can not do compared to a rep on the phone. The last few times I have had the need to contact Verizon I did so via chat with the exception of porting my number from page plus to my UDP line. They were all helpful & resolved my issue at the time. I prefer using chat over calling customer service.

Sorry, I have not used chat. But yesterday I called the toll free number from a landline to have a ported out device removed. I got a fantastic rep, he even said, "I see you have unlimited data, we don't want to do anything to touch that." Usually they try to move me to a new shared data plan.

It is getting harder and harder to help people get free UDP's when no one is wanting them. I think I will be off getting new phones now. I was able to do only 6 but looking like I am done. Some one you are lucky to be able to get someone to take the UDP.

yeah, that is what the beotch I got on the phone this morning wanted to do, I said no, then she proceeded with the account analysis to persuade me and saw all of the phone orders. Click.

If you are not looking to remodel your house off of this side business, you can still have a very merry christmas off of the profits by flipping 5-10 iphones.

If you can find a business to take the lines, well then you can remodel your house, lol!

I have one plan I will even pay $10-15 to someone to take it for free. There is a lot of them out there right now.

Just wanted to flip 13 phones. Still half way to the goal but it's not easy to have people take the udp. Some punks signing up on ebay and not paying just to get rid of competition.

Find another venue other than ebay to offload the lines. That's your option.

Or turn your lines into $45/mo 4G LTE MHS plans. That works.

I just changed my first one over (thanks for the info), but because its the last week of the billing cycle they would only make it effective at the start of the new cycle- gives me time to worry that the unlimited data is still there even though i must have said keep unlimited data 10 times during the live chat. :)

Question for Jules and anyone else that has AOL'd one of these plans- any additional trouble doing the AOL with the $15 loyalty plan? I've already run into the "can't AOL UDP", "can't AOL without a device", "can't AOL UDP to a new customer"...all of the stuff that makes the recipient question whether or not its legit. Was wondering what kind of feedback you've been getting from AOL reps.

Thanks.

call back and tell them you want the date to be effective today.

If the reps say anything that sounds like they don't know what they are doing, I hang up.

Got two switched and effective today, one going to a neighbor and the other going to HoFo to see if it sparks extra interest. Thanks Jules.
You are welcome. It takes a lot of work to get the plan switched but I am sure you can at least give these away.

A few questions...

Is it possible to port my current AT&T number to Verizon to take advantage of one of these UDPs? I would like to keep my current number if at all possible.

And second, when it comes time to buy the new iPhone next fall, am I able to do that without losing my unlimited data if I were to switch to Verizon?

The fact that they tease your bill a few days before it is available must be a customer service nightmare. I have been stressing for a few days since my account showed over $7k for my next bill:eek:. I stayed calm enough not to pick up the phone and watched the price drop each day for three days. Now I have the finalized copy and it has several ETF's and partial bills for lines that never fully happened. Every time that I got switched to the 2GB plan at Apple due to them calling VAT rather than CORe, I walked out. Well now those are on my bill. I just spent a couple hours straightening things out to a much more reasonable $2k:cool: Watch those bill details and keep good records.

To the first question, yes, you can port your number. I'd AOL an account first, and then port numbers later. It's super easy to change your mobile number on Verizon, and there is no fee if you do it online. A new number request is instant. A port can take a day or so. Be advised that a number port will cancel your AT&T account, so if you have UDP from AT&T you'll need to give that up in order to port the number.

Regarding the second, if you purchase the "iPhone 6S" at full price you'll preserve your UDP. If you are looking for a subsidized phone, it will depend on whether the "glitch" is still present or makes a re-appearance after VZW inevitably closes the loophole. If you add a subsidized iPhone to an existing line it replaces your UDP with a tiered plan. What people are doing here is adding a new line, which makes the unlimited data plan appear as a choice if you select the Nationwide Voice plans.
